Another thing to think about is that modern music industry makes hardly any money compared to the multibillion dollar entertainment titan it was in the 80s/90s/early 2000s. Back then making a hit song meant you become a millionaire so people tried their hardest and went all out producing the best humanly possible art and music.
So to youth of today who have pretty much just pop music and urban pop and country pop, always all digital and always the same formats...
Im sure to them going to the quality of the past is exotic to say the least. Of course those flavors hit extra hard because back then they tried to make music be delicious because so much was at stake.
These days everyone with a laptop makes whatever so everything is diluted and uniqueness is no longer monitiezed or coveted or in demand.
So going back to the quality of those times must be very interesting to them because the can literally feel the sincere artistic scope and uniquely engineered energies.
