Michael Schumacher is a sad story

best f1 racer of all time
$800mil networth
Good looking
The world was his oyster

And now he's been paralysed and bed ridden since 2013 while his 4/10 wife spends his money and sold his jet.

Life can be cruel

Kinda reminds me of Steve Irwin. Spend your life living on the edge, your job is dangerous as fk wrestling crocodiles and chit (or in Schumachers case racing cars 350km/h) then getting fked up by something as stupid as a fking sting ray (or Schumachers case, skiing)

Damn that's rough. His son is a Chad though so at least he passed on alpha genes first.

F1 has been boring for a long time. Used to love it back in the Mika Hakkinen, Schumacher Bros, Damon Hill, Barrichello, Villeneuve, Eddie Irvine, Williams, Jordan, Benetton days

Mercedes and FIA are breaking F1. Hamilton is good, but 80% of the grid can win in that car.

Chit show for sure, I don't even dislike Hamilton, like he seems obnoxious but a boring bland obnoxious if that makes sense. The FIA rules ruined it even during Red Bull's glory days it was going downhill. No fuel stops, tires that seem to only suit Mercs, an awful qualifying format and the car is so heavily run by software, drivers input is minimum. Merc won't put a driver in the car to challenge Hamilton.

I honestly will watch a Formula E race before F1 now.

Schumacher is the GOAT.

One of the last hardcore balls to the wall drivers and pure dedication and skill.

Not only did he build up Ferrari from the ground and led them into domination. He also came back as a old geezer (for his sport) and did the same with Mercedes. Turned that tire eating dog of a car into a missile, took his final pole in monaco (the purest test of driver skill) and stepped down. Only for that ******* Hamilton to profit off of it. Dont get me wrong - Hamilton is a great driver, but massively overrated and an absolute idiot off track. Whish he'd just shut the hell up and drive the car.

Realistically, what's the point? Say he regains consciousness, will he be functional at all? The guy's been out for a decade.

Yep, I still remember hearing about this when it happened. Very sad.

I hoped he would have made more progress by now but I guess the injury was too severe.

I met him while I was younger doing a commercial shoot. Really nice guy, super patient.
One of the best experiences of my life and will always be my hero. Hopefully he might one day at least be able to live a semi normal life.

There is no news of whether he is really alive. His wife keeps saying that he is but no ome has confirmed. I think she keeps paying the media to keep his legacy going.

could've been avoided if he simply went skiing on a designated slope. But he had to go off-piste.
