thats the point, if the vaccine works then you dont have to worry about it. So you're saying they don't work? Thats the anti vaccer point

You're a rart.

Let's say you have a rain jacket that stops 99% of all rain from getting you wet. If there's a light shower (most people are vaccinated) you'll stay dry, if there's a huge fukkin downpour (lots of antivaxxers) the chance you get soaked goes up fast.

Stop making strawmen, literally no one claims vaccines are 100% effective

bottom line is the vaccine should create anti bodies, if you have antibodies then you should be immune or have a very mild reaction to a virus.
So if youre exposed it shouldn't be a big deal, right?

Lol at your analogy, virus exposure does not work like a downpour, because you can only be exposed so much. Keep shooting up non sense and not depending on your immune system. Not my fault you have chit genetics and immune system.

Vaccines are not 100% effective. They're mostly effective, and that effectiveness keeps the infection numbers way down.

There's also the point that some people cannot be vaccinated, either due to allergies or age.

Antivaxxers are fuarking potatoes that need to be sent to an Isla Fuarktard. We should send vegans, marathon runners, and what's left of the crossfitters with them.

so if its mostly effective, then what do you care about potatoes that don't want foreign material injected in them?

If its not 100% effective then why should I get one.

never taking a rushed, no legal liability bullchit vaccine for cuckvid crew

the real story is that vaccine effectiveness is greatly impaired in the obese

the obese are a much bigger (hehe) problem for population immunity than the relatively small number of anti-vaccine people

Except we know you're wrong specifially with SARS-COV-2 because Doctors who developed antibodies are being reinfected due to repeated exposure since their body's immune system can't keep up.

Seatbelts aren't 100% effective either, stop wearing it.

Door locks aren't 100% effective either, stop locking doors.

Airbags aren't 100% effective either, remove them.

thats with sub par and unreliable testing. So we have so many false positives, then it would make sense that no one has anit bodies.

I'm not going to trust that with so much speculation. On tol of that, it would be uncharacteristic of viruses and all we know about them, 90% or more of the time, less mutations, we develop anti bodies. We know corona virjs doesn't mutate, you wouldve heard about that, so we're left with he conclusuon in which we have false positives and bad testing.

I dont rely on any of those things, I dont wear seatbelts, my gun is my backup for a bad lock, I prefer classic cars without air bags. So whats your point beyond telling me to kill myself. Which is very psychotic of you and against forum rules.

Correlation does not imply causation.

Is there any evidence that backs up the autism/vaccine link?

There have been plenty of studies that prove no link:

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/autism.html

It's more likely that autism is being caused by chit diets and aging unhealthy mothers during pregnancy.

Yes, vaccines are the only logical reason there are more acknowledged cases of autism. The thing you quoted LITERALLY SAYS "Recent research has indicated that changes in diagnostic practices may account for at least 25% of the increase in prevalence over time...."

My oldest(now 14) got whooping cough when he was 6 months old. Image thinking your baby just has a cold and waking up in the middle of the night barely breathing and he can't communicate whats wrong and on vacation 500 miles from home. Scary as ****.

Now imaging going through that purposefully not vaccinating your kid and him getting sick.

Now imaging, wait a minute, if everyone is supposed to be vaccinated, who got my kid sick and almost killed him!?

Yes he was vaccinated, but his next dose was supposed to be about the time he got sick, so the immunity hadn't build up yet. dTap one of the ones you have to keep boosting.

You are right, it is the vaccinations fault...for keeping stupid people alive longer to reproduce.

You realize the majority of kids born with autism are from parents well into their 30's and early 40's. Just LOL at waiting to have kids when the odds of having mentally challenged kids is 10x more likely.

I think you're getting hooked on semantics. Perhaps a better word or way of framing this is "How effective are vaccines in decreasing outbreaks and infections?"

Many vaccines have been proven to be absolutely effective in controlling and "eradicating" many viruses and diseases that used to be major problems over 100-200 years ago. Are they 100% effective and a sure thing? No. Does the risk of the virus spreading and the risk of somebody contracting the virus go down the more people that are vaccinated? Yes.

If we want to define "work" as largely decreasing the number of measles infections, then yes vaccines do "work". Something working doesn't mean it's 100% perfect. If a person gets a measles vaccine, 95% chance they are likely to be immune, so a 5% chance they will get afflicted with the virus. If everybody else is unvaccinated, the chances of coming into contact with somebody who has measles, and ultimately contracting measles is a lot higher than if the majority of the population, say 95% of the population had been vaccinated.

A flu vaccine is only around 40-50% effective, depending on the year. Most would say, that's kinda chit. But the fact is even at 40-50% effectiveness, it's still preventing at the very least and conservatively a few thousand flu deaths a year.

This is the point mostly, hope I explained that correctly.

Also, you can see here measles cases have dropped drastically from 800K at its peak to hundreds a year. The vaccine was first developed in 1963 and an improved version used today was fully developed and administered in 1968, around the time cases started to dramatically fall. So do they "work?". For the most part yeah if we are talking about dropping cases from a few hundred thousand a year into the thousands within a decade.

so you kind of proved my point. If the flu vaccine was effective(>90%) then I'd probably take it. But its not and so I don't. But if you have faith that you'll fall in the 40% then go for it.

I dont care to inject something into me that may only be 40% effective. I'll take my chances at building an immunity. Which in the case of covid, I have a 0.06% chance if dying. So I'd rather take that chance.

But you can go ahead and put whatever you want into your bloodstream

Edit: just to add, the biggest difference between vaxxers and anti

Anti: I dont want it for me but do whatever you want to you.

Vaxxers: you must do this to your personal body because we say so.

I dont care to inject something into me that may only be 40% effective. I'll take my chances at building an immunity. Which in the case of covid, I have a 0.06% chance if dying. So I'd rather take that chance.

But you can go ahead and put whatever you want into your bloodstream
So you would take the measles vaccine, or have your kid if you have one take measles vaccine then, since it's over 90% correct? Regardless if it's 40, or 90% you are still reducing your chances. I'd still take a measles vaccine even if it were only 40% effective.

Covid is an entire different discussion on its own with other variables at play

yes and thats the case with me and my kids.

I dont take the flu vaccine because its garbage that they throw a dart at what they expect then roll it out. Its basic, risk vs reward. I dont see any reward in a covid or flu vacckne because I likely won't die. If I do die from it then thats my fate. Whereas I dont want to get polio or the measles. No chits given

Stop making strawmen, literally no one claims vaccines are 100% effective
The person you quoted is a fat low IQ racist. Don’t waste your time. He lost at the game of life.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

Some people are allergic to the vaccines or have other reasons they literally can't receive them.

Morons who choose not to receive vaccinations raise the risk for people who already have health issues.

Are you dumb?
