i feel that eating a dog is wrong but why?

they are animals just like cows and i've even seen a pig act better and smarter than a dog but i still eat them

i know it has something to do with the community/ country i grew up in.
i wonder would i care if i grew up in another country. i feel i would

Also, dogs are built up to relate to humans, everything from face shape to the gaze, and recognizing when humans point to something.

Because cows and pigs and chickens give a LOT of meat relative to how much they are fed. If a dog could live off grass and grool and still get fat, we'd be eating them.

Dog's have been domesticated for a long ass time.

We've specifically bred them to be companions, loyal, and dependable.

Other animals we eat, while maybe intelligent, do not have this history with humans. Even cats are relatively recently domesticated compared to dogs.

1) Dogs have been bred to be our companions, not food, over thousands of years.

2) Almost all civilizations do not eat predatory mammals. We do not because blood born pathogens are easily transmitted from meat eater to meat eater.

Historically humans have developed a much greater bond with canines than other species of animal because they are fearlessly loyal and provide companionship. They are used in many functions and capacities and we have developed a love and respect for all kinds of different dogs.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.
