Long-term hodlers are in it for dividends breh

Ford recently cut their dividend to conserve cash but were previously doing $0.15 per share per quarter. If you sunk $50k into it right now at current prices and they re-instituted that dividend, you'd be making over $4k a year just in dividends

Dividends are goat.

Not ford stock but,
Could sit around on my ass and do nothing and just collect 48k a year from dividends RN if I wanted to. And never touch my actual investment but hang onto it until retirement.

It's actually a seriously remarkable thing, that you can buy stock in these companies and get a slice of their cash flow. People are too focused on growth stocks for quick gains (and losses)

Not to mention when it's a DRIP stock and you get that compounding effect over the years as the dividends are re-invested
