Thinking about talking to HR about my addiction
to legal herb.
I was just thinking about how during training the safety officer mentioned a worker was sent to rehab for alcohol. Wouldn't that apply to my case as well?
not sure how to handle this

Maybe I'm missing something but why the f*ck would you tell your job about your personal problem? You have a problem, you solve it yourself. What exactly do you anticipate gaining here, at the risk of ruining your company's perception of you?

You in a union? If you are I recommend you go as high as you can up the chain. Stewards don't know chit sometimes, I have to educate mine every now and then-talk to the business agent if you can. If your company's got documents online I recommend downloading every relevant thing you can find and organize your paperwork.

? this led to your disability? and your disability is a runny nose?
have you tried allergy medication?
do you want HR and coworkers to laugh at you?
and you either have schizophrenia or you don't.

So because it's legal you thought it was okay to be high while working, until you found out it wasn't during the training? Is this your first job or something?
Please tell me this is not true and you are not that naive. Pure cope/denial by focusing on the fact that it legal.

btw if you have schizophrenia or have symptoms of it, quit smoking weed immediately. weed both induces schizophrenia in people with genetic susceptibility, and mimics symptoms of it in non susceptible people who are long term potheads. also weed is cringe and for losers

Well, I'm just trying to take advantage of human resources at the company, I mean I heard people are getting laid off anyways; the disability advisor mentioned something about long term disability.
If not, then I'll probably go back to work and then get EI (not sure about the weeks left though).
I started smoking pot in grade 11 man, hard to give it up.

Yea I use clarintin and sometimes a nasal spray

Oh no, I was diagnosed with psychosis but in a letter to a school my psych actually wrote schizophrenia.

Yeah weed should not be legalized. It's extremely destructive to the brain, no matter how much potheads underplay this

Okay so you started using pot when you were pretty young. That's a really bad idea AFAIK.
psychosis = | = schizophrenia
For physical addiction to cannabis I would think you could wean yourself off with CBD as far as a physical type addiction since it should hit the same receptors in the brain.
While you have the time and access you might be well served to get a full cognitive function screen. Schizophrenia is co-morbid with a lot of other stuff including ADD and autism.
Many people with ADD self-medicate with nicotine and/or cannabis. Srs.
You might find a less damaging way to deal- stim prescription, nicotine lozenges, or some kind of prescription cannabis.
Your lungs would probably appreciate the break and your rhinitis might clear up. Have you considered that you may have had, or may have developed, rhinitis from the stuff you are smoking...could be an additive or chemical contaminant of some kind.
