HAHAHAHA do you have any idea of what you're talking about? Every single time you exhale, every word you speak, all exudes the viral particles. It can also sustain in air for periods of time.

A mask is only helpful in distance of fluid and major particles. I have been out without a mask this entire time, and not one time have I coughed, sneezed, or projectiled any fluid anywhere in a public place.

I can't take this stupidity and uninformed idiocy anymore. You either go with 100% of the narrative and hold it to that, or you don't. Don't start saying this only spreads with major particulate as a plane ride into covid city.

Yes, this is intelligence. Let's force everyone to wear a mask in 90+ heat so if they might cough or sneeze in a store, it won't go as far. Yes let's wear a mask when ordering food, but not when you eat it. Yes, let's wear a mask when you go to a gym, but take it off when you do your sets as you grunt, breath heavy, and sweat profusely.

INTELLIGENCE!!! 2020 the year of intelligent minds coming together to stop the dreaded COVID-19! Wear a diaper on your face guys, that'll stop it!

for engineering, we looked at air filters for buildings looking at ASHRAE standards and what not, I read up on it.

particles in an everyday environment won't be abundant enough to make the covid particle system large enough to be caught in the mask filter

the diameter of a covid particle is 0.12 microns, and a typical covid mask can catch particles starting at 3.0 microns, .12 isn't large enough to be filtered out

the covid particles could hypothetically attach to other particles and then get filtered, but that isn't the case in everyday environments

for building systems for example, the standard they're looking for is a MERV-14 filter in HVAC systems that return air to the space, and those filters catch particles 0.3-1.0 microns at 75-84% efficiency, a covid particle is .12 microns.....

so as you can see, masks don't work

this is real science that has been studied, not whatever fake scientists and politicians are telling you

there is also no studies backing up that single use masks even work, it says so on the box itself when you buy the mask, it doesn't reduce transmission of diseases

Seems that a decent number of Ameribrahs don’t understand that the ~2million projection was an absolute worst case scenario if no measures were put in place. Not sure why there is so much apparent confusion around this but will guess people are focusing on headlines and not details, because it was pretty clear in the original press conference.

I think the CDC is projecting around 290,000 deaths by Decemberish

Someone obviously doesn't know how small pathogens are. Covid is smaller than HEPA filtration

Why aren't we required to wear gloves. Werent we always told most germs are spread through hand contact?

I posted these like a month ago but here you go, you can google to find info like this:

Study shows that covering mouth with damp cloth reduces the amount of aerosols you emit when speaking
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2007800

Study showing that face masks reduce the amount of detectable corona virus RNA in respiratory droplets
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-0843-2#Sec3
Surgical face masks significantly reduced detection of influenza virus RNA in respiratory droplets and coronavirus RNA in aerosols, with a trend toward reduced detection of coronavirus RNA in respiratory droplets. Our results indicate that surgical face masks could prevent transmission of human coronaviruses and influenza viruses from symptomatic individuals.
given that flu and corona type virus are airborne - you'd expect people to use simple logic and understand that covering your mouth would reduce spread risk. But.. here we are

Also heres an article that talks about the above studies and even MORE sources proving that masks help

Ahh thank you. Someone with intelligence. Funny thing is I did all this research in March before masks were a thing, and all studies concluded ineffectiveness in use en mass for these situations. Then, when politicized, all those studies got covered and I couldn't find them again. Funny how we have never used them en mass before, but now it's the SAVIOR for mankind. People can't use logic anymore.

There is zero scientific consensus on mask being effective. That is why the Netherlands top virologist axed the mandated face mask usage.

Also, just think about that first one. Right now, go wet a small hand towel. Then lay down and place it over your mouth. Try breathing.

You understand that's part of the process of waterboarding someone right?

I can't take this anymore.

ASHRAE crew. I dont knownif id call MERV 13 standard. Atleast not here. Standard is MERV 8. Even hospital grade is MERV 14 which is still not enough to stop covid

Are you finding amendments to your contract language to start covering your asses on potential covid lawsuits and HVAC design? We sure are

But let's continue to wear cut up sheets and pretend they do something
