thinking of moving to a big city...any advice?

Live in a small town, working at the convenience store. Managed to save some money.

I quit school to take of my old man, his body's too old for working and he basically lives with the bottle. My mom went off and actually left him, that's the way it is.

But I'm thinking of getting a car, something fast lol. Driving into the next state and moving to the biggest city with my gf. Both of us should be able to get jobs.

City life is gay. Real alphas move to the boondocks, buy acres of land and raise livestock on their compound.

DUDE i just LOVE the hustle and bustle of the big city, it’s so DYNAMIC and makes me feel like i’m in one of my favourite TV SHOWS. you should totally come on down to my studio apartment, it’s got EXPOSED RED BRICK walls and everything, we can crack open a nice hoppy ipa or three and get crazy watching some cartoons on adult swim! and dude, dude, DUDE, we have GOTTA go down to the barcade- listen here, right, it’s a BAR where us ADULTS who do ADULTING can go DRINK. BUT!!!! it’s also an ARCADE like when we were kids, so we can play awesome VIDEO GAMES, without dumb kids bothering us. speaking of which megan and i have finally decided to tie the knot- literally -we’re both getting snipped tomorrow at the hospital, that way we can save money to spent more on ourselves and our FURBABIES. i’m ****in JACKED man, i’m gonna SLAM this craft beer and pop open another one!!!

For opportunity, depending on which one you could probably get jobs. Living in cities is expensive, if you don’t want to live in the slums. Most cities have lower income sections but you’ll be surrounded by section 8’s. No thanks.

Great if you’re young and like going out(even though you aren’t single, it’s fun then too). Depending on the city, you may not even really need a car.

I wouldn’t do it because of the cost, but my brother lives in DC and I’m jealous as ****. I’m also a Caps fan though, so some bias.

I’m in LA & I’d leave if I could. I used to be all about it but the tour ended for city life in 2020. Covid RIPd city life. I see moving trucks everywhere & everyone with enough funds is leaving. Srs. You should still leave home, but do yourself a giant favor & move somewhere besides a city, OP.

Flight from the cities = cowards. They’re too scared to fight injustice so they’ll go to suburbs and would rather live dull lives instead. If finances are tight and you’re settling down that’s understandable, but cities are where you go if you’re young and care about your quality of life (access to groceries, access to fun things, pussy) and aren’t afraid to stand up to clown world
