I get what you are saying, but in this specific case, it's literally no harm no foul.

I really dislike the escalation culture we have now, people justify it all the time. Someone will spit on someone(pre covid) then the response in the video is the guy almost killing him in the subway beating the life out of him and reddit is cheering it on as justified. Assaulting someone over a word or words is an extreme lack of self control and low iq move. Insult them back or play it off, assaulting them just makes things worse and black people seem to do it often now.
