Porn before 2012....was different. Sure there were a million online sites...but a lot of it was pay only (I remember dudes on here repping for Brazzers and Naughty America passwords, now we could care less).

Pornhub and Youporn xvideos etc were less popular and had mostly 240/480p lower resolution videos. All the HD nice content was on paysites or you had to be an internet expert to find or torrent it.

Around 2012...suddenly all the porn tube sites had HD clips from all the paysites free....no cost. Perfect HD quality...Porn suddenly became VERY high quality and very easy to access. Maybe the tech finally allowed it...but I'm not so sure on that....why did it become free all of a sudden?

I think this REALLY affected men and society more than people think. Serious.
GDP became popular in 2012-2013 i think too. Porn now days is nothing like that 480 or even 720 chit we had in 2010-2011.

They just put the best videos out in the open now and they seem to be unlimited

Good thread, here's what I think is (partly) the answer: attention and access.

Saying smartphones is the reason is the right path, but it goes a bit deeper. I remember watching that Miami Dolphins Vid as a younger lad, hnnnged hard... and that was it. Yes, they did the video to gain publicity but, most importantly, they did it for FUN. Uploading videos on utube was FUN. I watched tons of gaming channels back then, ppl weren't getting paid chit.

So what changed? Well, when people realized that the traditional "advertisement"... could be transformed into content. They realized that creating content -> attracted attention -> big brands will pay for EYES.

People started to get paid for blogging, youtube videos, and other online content. When there's money involved, what happens? Hyper competition. As "normal" content like

As "normal" content like
"giraffes at the zoo" became the standard, creators learned they had to go more "extreme" to compete for attention. Clickbait started happening. Porn started becoming more circulated and available.

But let's take a step back. When you were a kid, what was your only chance of seeing a model in a bikini? A magazine or videotape. They were probably hard to come across. Your life was "siloed" in a sense, in that you only had access to things in your physical realm.

Now, with the Internet train at full speed, ANYTHING is available. You can learn any skill, in 5 seconds you can find your high school crush's bikini pics, your entertainment is now watching a streamer play a game rather than going to the court to shoot hoops. Now that everyone realizes the monetization possibilities, EVERYONE is competing for eyes and attention. And it's working.

People are constantly bombarded with content that is bigger, more extreme. It's cheap entertainment. That ******* mr.beast on utube gets MILLIONS of views on his vids, I would not be surprised if his audience is younger.

But more importantly, what emotions are people feeling when watching these videos? Of seeing fine-tuned, photoshopped pictures of "perfection"? Jealously, envy, hate, depression, the feeling of I'm not enough. Psychological indoctrination is real. You can think seeing/watching something doesn't change you but constant exposure changes your subconscious which in turn changes you as a person.

As for the PC stuff, I honestly believe people are just bored. They're like Edward Norton in Fight Club where he just hopes that his plane crashes just to feel something. On some level, this is similar. They want to feel a little destruction to feel alive. These ppl think they know oppression? I'm not too well versed in history, but current america doesn't seem oppressed to me.

And slooting? Attention and money. Victoria Secret catalogs ain't cutting it anymore (literally, they fookin stopped the VS fashion show). Again, availability and access. Any and all niches are available in different forms (goth, cosplay, swimsuit, milf, etc). Women sell their soul for "the bag" and men are docile, cooming away their physical life force and their deep subconscious is saying, "I don't have to be a better man to get women, they're already here!". They stall in life and become Peter Pans.

I could be wrong, but this is what I think.

I think EOD is biased by his blackpill a lot of the time, but he's right about this. I'm probably happier/more well adjusted than 90% of miscers but the world was a happier place back then. Before social tensions were palpable to your average normie. No one had heard about Covid or even imagined the government could just put them out of work. Music festivals were at their peak, Tinder was at its peak. You could say this is just getting old but, all of my siblings are younger and I'm only 24. I know a bunch of Zoomers and they're a much more depressed generation than we were. This is not even just the incels, this is the cool dudes and the hot girls. Look at youth suicide rates. sad to think about

The world suffers whenever the Yankees start losing and the Red Sox start winning. See: 2004-2008 and 2013-2018

That entire ****hole city known as Boston needs to be deported from the US.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

i randomly came across it on youtube and I was like "wow..look how happy everyone is...its like a different world then"...then i looked at the date....2012....and it hit me like a ton of bricks. EOD is right. There must be 1 million people in that crowd (srs)

People are going to look back on 2012 decades from now as some sort of paradigm shift in society. not even joking.

If that Call Me Maybe song doesn't give you major nostalgia compared to what is released now i don't know what to say. These were happy vibes. I don't even remember meeting a depressed/angry person back then either. Everyone was happy af.
2012 was when Trayvon Martin was killed at the Marxist Racist BLM propagandist group began. Right after that was when lefties woke up every morning thinking about things to get offended over and start a hashtag to gain traction. Also when the definition of gender changed to being how you "feel" and more connected to personality than biological sex. People then were able to identify as whatever the fuk they wanted

Blm supporters and Eod have the same thing in common.

Both believe they are victims.

Neither can figure out how to solve their problems, so they think the answer must be some boogeyman is preventing them from being successful.

At least POC ancestors were legitimately disenfranchised in the past. Eod is just flat out retard retarded to believe this ****.

Dude needs an education. Quit working dead end jobs and your most meaningful relationships is some faaggot on Reddit.

Youre full of ****. Every generation feels the years that they were coming of age were the "best years" and every year the world feels a little more like its falling apart. 5 years from now a stupid zoomer is going to be making the same thread. Just like in 2012 people were making the same thread. Its natural for people to resist change... not a hard concept to grasp yet here we are.

i came of age well before 2012 - and was still pretty young around 2012. I felt like things were changing negatively then....and i was in the prime part of my 20s then.

do this, post some video of the past two years of people being carefree and happy in massive groups with song/movements that everyone had fun with and was popular. it doesnt exist anymore.

everyone is happy. ill be first to admit, not a huge pop guy, but i cant deny these are catchy and make me smile/laugh

2020

totally different energy...everyone is depressed and coping now. seriously this video is horrifying. what happened? its like everyone is just doing something to get a 10 second dance clip to trend on tik tok now. nothing else. honestly weird.

Was 2012 the last year people were truly happy and having authentic fun?

Look at videos below - no one has this much fun anymore. No positivity like this has existed for awhile.

(if you got a crowd this big now it'd be for a BLM protest only)

Edit..like to point out how hot Nikki Minaj was then too...but look how happy everyone is...would never see this in 2020

Look at this crowd!

Seems like everything became so much more socially divided since then. Last year before Tinder, Instagram, full out smart phone usage by society. Democratic agenda became much more woke after 2012. Suddenly open borders were a thing being rationally argued for. Many millenials started to get very jaded around then too as their careers were stalling from starting in a massive global financial crisis. I remember being really happy in 2012 and everything since has seemed so serious.

What happened after 2012? 100% serious. Didn't something with the CERN Hadron Collider happen in 2012 (please confirm EOD). Was it Obama's reelection? Please help me misc.
Looks terrible no thx bro.
