Dont think it would make much difference in regards to US retaliation. Way more than enough ways and ability to return to sender

But yeah theyd be hitting close large or cities or key infrastructure like power plants/supply chain, so airports and ports

Get rid of power and supply and the people themselves will take care of the rest after enough time

It would depend who the nuclear war was against.

If you're talking population centers? If NK, Seattle, LA, SF. (Nothing of value lost) If China or Russia it would be all major population centers greater than 500k. If it was a military strike, Norfolk and San Diego.

If it's a full on MAD exchange, good night sweet prince.

Top targets I'd say:

- North Dakota, b/c that's where like half our missile silos are at.

-Nebraska, cause I think that's where we keep our bomber fleet.

-Norfolk VA for our biggest aircraft carrier anchorage in the Atlantic, or Puget Sound or San Diego if you want to fuk up the Pacific fleet.

-Probably DC if it's a true decapitation strike. The saying goes (at least on the weirdo boards that I'm on) that you don't nuke a capital b/c you want to have someone alive to surrender to you, but if it's annihilation then they don't give a fuk.

Can't decapitate the nuclear sub fleet though, so we're retaliilating either way. God knows what those guys' orders are but it's probably to aim for capitals and population centers.

No need to waste our resources and attack your cities. We'd attack your army head on just like we did in Pearl Harbor.

After we wreck the US army, we go after Great Britain. As the US is just a resource mill for the Brits. We'd hit em where it hurts, the motherland. The US would not be able to tolerate this as its instinctual.

Not the ones you’d think of. The Soviets had plans to nuke various sites, most were strategic military/intelligence strongholds though, not major civilian dwellings.



The purpose of the strikes would’ve been to disable our military and leave us defenseless, not to kill as many people as possible.

Was doing some research and around where I live there was several Nike missile sites underground during the cold war, all pretty much in suburbs. A community college is on top of one now.

Always wondered why the playground there was called Nike Park.

That would be retarded because those cities are filled with some of our enemies biggest allies. Nothing like having people on the inside willing to rip apart those cities for the hell of it!


I bet Atlanta would be a target because of the CDC. Especially since China has moved to biological warfare with the virus. First place to wipe out is the country's headquarters for dealing with disease.

Bonus points for taking out one of the country's largest airports as well, granted I don't think that would hold too much value since it likely wouldn't impact military mobilization to any significant degree. Just a nice exclamation point maybe.
