How do you guys think people dealt with PTSD in the far past?

I mean humans have been going to war and killing each other since well.. always. Do you think others thought they were a bit off?

They probly kept killing people. That or committed suicide. Suicide has always existed. If we’re talking the deep past, then PTSD wasn’t a problem per se because PTSD is a “trauma response” that does indeed work in a warzone. PTSD = trauma mindset in a safe world i.e. soldiers now live in suburbia with no real threats after being on high-alert at all times.
