Locked down workouts or rot mode?

Which do you prefer?

Rotting until gyms are open again

or

home gym workouts to maintain?

I just do bare minimum to maintain at home, the motivation isn't there for at home workouts. There's something really motivating about driving to the gym and showing up, it's like you're forced to commit, but at home you just in that feeling of "I can take it or leave it".

So personally I just scrape by with the half assed maintenance push ups, curls, side lats, pull ups etc etc.

WBU guys?

Legit predict this will be the be all and end all valentines. If you’re in your 20s and you don’t cuff up this valentines, you won’t be cuffing up for a long time

Dam, did you feel your mental health deteriorate when that happened? I stopped for a month and I felt like I was going nuts. I legit need it as an outlet.

Gyms are clown world locally RN I bought a pull up bar and some adjustable dumbbells need to be exercising. Gonna do the best I can at home till things maybe settle down with the scary air and masks.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

My phuking gym finally opens up on Monday. Not looking forward to seeing how much of a pussy I've become but w/e man at least I'll get to lift again. The only thing I did at home was diamond push ups from time to time.

Gyms are still closed in my state, but my gym is open in another state 30 minutes away and I've been going 2-3 times per week. Getting into beast mode now, and things are very good.

I thought I would but I didn't give a chit. Part of me is glad to take a break from the gym.

There's just something so boring about home workouts, even at the park they feel chit. There's a certain energy I get from gyms that puts me in beastmode. Just sitting on the bench press with your tunes, beating high scores. srs, GOAT tier workout.

vs

Doing poverty high rep pushups... No thx Jeff...

100%. They're ok if you live in the middle of nowhere or as a once per week thing, but I can't imagine only working out at home. The gym is 50% social, even if you're not talking to a ton of people.

Rotted during the lockdown until the gym opened back up in June. Kinda regretted it but home workouts are boring as hell. If there's another lockdown I'll do home workouts to not lose my sanity.

Rotting is never the answer. You dont need a gym. Go hiking, swimming, climbing, jogging, biking.

Anything but rotting. Whatever you can do.

Keep it going.

This. Pull up bars and resistance bands at a minimum. All about that time under tension/progressive overload.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

I think people under-estimate what you can do with a pullup and dip bar.

Pushups, dips, reverse rows, pullups, air squats, pistol squats. By a band for curls, tri ext, adding resistance to pushup, etc.
