Jamie Foxx has a new movie on Netflix called Project Power. It's about a film where a pill that gives people the ability to harness a superhero-like power for 5 minutes when they take it. The only issue is that people have no idea what power they will get. Some have awesome powers like super strength, while others just explode and die. Sounds like a cool premise, right? Unfortunately the movie fukking sucks sh!t.

Jamie Foxx plays a guy who is looking for his kidnapped daughter who he suspects is the origin of the pill. And Joseph-Gordon Levitt is a cop. With the help of a black girl who deals the pill, they set out on the street of New Orleans. And you couldn't care less about any of these guys. The movie is full-on social justice bs and it lacks the writing or budget to take advantage of the movie's idea. Let me just say this - I might forgive social political feces in movies, but this film doesn't get anything right. The movie is not only annoying, it's embarrassing. Boring. And it looks like a tv film. Just bad. This may sound like hyperbole, but it's the worst film I've seen this year. Just so horrible.

The other movie I watched was Host. A found-footage type of movie. It's about a group of friends, mostly late-20s/early 30s cat ladies, who get together to do a seance over the internet using Zoom due to the quarantine. Yeah, it's a movie that takes place during the quarantine. But despite that goofy element, the movie isn't actually bad. It's not anything new when it comes to these type of horror movies. But it is at least entertaining enough so you don't feel like you wasted your time watching it. It's a little scary. But one of the things that make it tolerable is that it is only 56 minutes. The acting isn't bad either. Give it a watch if you're in the mood for horror.

Tried to watch that Jamie Foxx movie but gave up when she started rapping in the classroom. Chit was cringe as fuk. It was a struggle to get to that point, 20 mins or so in to the movie, but I was willing to give it a chance. But then that scene was a big old nope.

Yeah it was bad.

not even gonna bother with Project Power, looks absolute chit. Also, haven't they copied the idea from Amazon's The Boy's series? Normal people are injected with a drug (compound V) and their super powers differ depending on person.
