I agree with this, as a result I don't really detect the American accent(s). However I prefer the "accent" of people from England, it sounds classier to me

Can’t turn on the TV without hearing Americans. I don’t mind them in real life, better than hearing other Aussies.

As an American I can’t answer OP’s question but I will say that for whatever reason, we like getting our information/news from people with English accents, lol. Something about it makes them seem smarter.

If you watch a nature documentary and it’s narrated by some English brah, we’ll just sit there eating it up. But if that same documentary were narrated by some American from Alabama or New York, we’d probably think the guy is full of sh!t and be more skeptical, lol.

Some British accents are annoying but I don’t know which one is which. All I know is that there’s not one actor from Game of Thrones whose accent sounded annoying, lol.

I lived in Hong Kong for a while. Usually when I speak....they smile and say "American". I don't look like anything. That's Hong Kong Chinese, Brits and all sorts.

I kind of like the Manc accent or the Irish. The way they both sound to me is that everything has an inflection that sounds like they are asking a question

I was wondering about that, are we even considered to have an accent? It just seems weird to think about. Although, I definitely can see southern accent being something different

I’ve never thought about it but I never really heard any women find American accents sexy

I think it has to do with anti American sentiment

which accent? Americans have different accents depending on which part of the US they're from. A lot of it sounds similar to a Canadian accent but people in the South or in NYC, Jersey or Boston sound completely different.

YMMV... my anecdotes do not represent the entirety of American men and British women interacting. I am just speaking on my experiences... and I've found it to be completely true. You are probably a solid 4 on your best day and are going to age like milk so who really care what you think?

British people find Americans loud, obnoxious and annoying. We like the rappers but that's about it. In no other way do british people admire the american accent

Sure thing. Sounds like you're just bitter that the American Chads don't even look your way because you're disgusting filth. Cope.

Brits literally dream about being American... it's fascinating. You cucks worship our culture, movies, music, politics, etc... walk into any British fashion shop and you will find t-shirts that say "Brooklyn", "Malibu" on them. You cucks wish you were American so bad it's pathetic.

Yeah, keep coping. Americans love the british accent, hence why British boys always clean up when they go over there. Look at idris elba for example, emma watson, they're not revered for their looks, its the accent

American shows are shown in most countries, even in germany, denmark etc. doesnt mean anyone wants to be them lmao, its just a powerful nation with a lot of influence.

Sorry but keep dreaming. None of that amounts to liking the accent

Also half your shows are British lmao. Brb the office, brb who wants to be a millionaire etc

Idris Elba isn't a good looking guy? Emma Watson isn't good looking? Bish what planet do you live on.

I lived in that chithole country of yours for a few years... a few years too long. I am sharing my opinion. Most British women are absolute gutter filth.

enjoy your worshipping of the American way... while waking up to your gloomy and rainy 300 days a year, bland food, and beta cuck men.

American accent is neutral and natural sounding that’s why Brits sound like us when they sing a lot of the time

Idk when it was when I realized the Beatles weren’t American, lmao.

When they sing, their accent doesn’t seem as pronounced.

Thats because of business opportunities once again like i have said. There are still so many British sounding singers (ed sheeran, lily allen etc) . Brits sing American to further their career prospects

Exactly, at this point it’s weird when you hear a UK singer who actually sounds British when they sing moreso than American

This is cope

Why would sounding British hurt them? Despacito and Gangnam Style broke streaming records and they’re in entirely different languages.

American is just how English naturally sounds when you’re not trying to sound like a fairy

How is it cope when ed sheeran was literally the number 1 artist in the world on Spotify a few months ago lmao. There are tons of English sounding singers

Gangnam style was an exception. How many asians do you seen in the mainstream music business? Id struggle to name 3 in the past 20 years. How many spanish songs DON'T make the billboard? Literally 1000s. Justin bieber helped push that song too. Plus there are a lot of spanish speaking people in america

None of this supports your argument that British singers must sound American for career aspirations, that’s cope
