Small cities to me are places like South Bend and Green Bay. 500K is like Atlanta and Miami. It's all relative though.

We are so far beyond basic necessities and its this reason that everybody lives so well. Without big cities you'd be farming like they do in rural India or some chit, gotta get like 50 people doing backbreaking work instead of one guy riding on tractors like you do now. And NOBODY starts farms just to feed themselves, you need profit. Member when dairy farms started dumping milk just to keep the price up?

Factories can be built literally anywhere they choose. Small cities beg companies to build a factory at their location so that they could have some jobs.

Your missing the point. Not talking about a functioning society. Talking about when things break down which is what all this civil unrest will cause. Trucker unions already talking about not going to cities where police get defunded and truckers are getting pulled out of trucks and mobbed. Good luck transporting goods. Talking about when trump gets re-elected and these liberal nut jobs threaten civil war. When push comes to shove and society breaks down GDP isn’t going to mean anything. Who can survive will.

I'm bipartisan, but it is interesting how the conservatives have essentially been shut up. The liberals are relentless in attacking those with a different opinion. However, I always thought that conservatives would do a lot nore than just kinda give up and let them have it. For the record I think the left has been ridiculously annoying in how they've taken over the media, but why have conservatives let it happen? Srs

The difference being it wouldn’t be North Vs south but large cities vs everyone else.
