Justice League's Cyborg Actor Accuses DC of Toxic, Hostile Set

WarnerMedia is officially launching a third-party investigation into Justice League actor Ray Fisher's claims that reshoots director Joss Whedon ran a toxic, hostile set and that former DC Films co-chairs Geoff Johns and Jon Berg enabled the alleged bad behavior. Fisher has also claimed Johns reprimanded him for complaining up the chain about it at the time.

Fisher, who played Cyborg in the 2017 film, tweeted about the investigation Thursday, claiming, "I believe this investigation will show that Geoff Johns, Joss Whedon, Jon Berg (and others) grossly abused their power during the uncertainty of AT&T’s merger with Time Warner."

Fisher, as Variety notes, has yet to (publicly) provide corroboration or specifics to support his allegations.

"There have been no findings yet, and there is no specific timeline for the investigation," according to Variety. "The source stressed that WarnerMedia hasn’t prejudged Whedon, Johns, or Berg, that the investigation is not limited to them, and that to preserve the integrity of the investigation, the company won’t conduct it in the public sphere."

--------------

Damn. And I really enjoy Geoff Johns writing. He wrote for Marvel once and then DC. I even challenged him in Twitter to a fight years ago. If I win, he leaves DC and go back to Marvel. He declined. Pussy.

Imagine giving some upstart actor the gig of a lifetime, and then he tries to cancel you afterwards. lmao clown world continues. But always fun to watch Hollywood eat themselves.

Not saying the people he’s accusing aren’t scumbags. But ironic these allegations never start flying until after the check stops coming in.

justice league sucked. i just rewatched. when superman appeared at end it was like nothing.

now think of capt marvel arriving in end game or Thor in wakanda. that was done right

Cyborg sucked anyway. the actor wasnt great and his gear was dumb.

ben affleck batman was so bad. ben affleck was obviously writing himself to have a sex scene with gal gadot later on in future movies. glad hes gone

Aquaman is GOAT. gal gadot is good. the rest weren't amazing. flash was fine. movie was damn terrible

justice league should have came out after aquaman, flash, wonder woman 2, a good batman movie. and cyborg being featured in one of these. also them trying to do marvel type of comedy didnt work

Aquaman is cool. i saw that movie in IMAX and 3D. when they showed Atlantis with the vibrant colors i was mind blown. I really hope they dont drop ball with him

Eh, they all have slammed Whedon. been doing so the past year. The toxic part is about Whedon bad mouthing Synder, and lots of unprofessional behavior on set.

Justice League was atrocious, and the entire move made no sense. Cancel all the movies and restarting from the beginning will be better than the crap they are doing now. It was so rushed from BvS to Justice League, just terrible. It took Marvel 19 Films to finally bring Thano's into the picture. With DC, Darkseid was originally going to appear in Justice League. The whole motherbox thing was so out of left field too, like an exact rip-off of the Infinity Stones from Marvel. At least Marvel built those up over time too and just didn't shove them in your face. These boxes showed up out of nowhere with no backstory other than a 5 minute explanation.

DC needed to take it slow like Marvel did, but they tried to fast track it straight to Justice League. Only good movies have been Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Every other DC movie has really been below par, and Suicide Squad was just seriously terrible to watch. ALL of the characters need a reason to be where they are, which is what Marvel did right. DC just put them there because they needed them to for the movie to work. Not everyone like's Marvel's style of movies, but at least they explained over a decade what was happening.

Whedon's been known to be an a-hole, this should come as no surprise.

Yeah the whole thing was a mess. Rewatched Man of Steel (turns out I somehow missed the whole first part on Krypton the first time round), gah, terrible.

Right now it just seems it's one guy in Ray Fisher who seems miffed by the treatment on set. If none of the other cast member corroborate his story then we can just put this down to a very inexperienced actor in Fisher having a reality check on how demanding the job can be.
