Why is it so hard for people to realize millennials aren't children anymore?

I still see people complaining about teenagers and young people and they almost always call them "millennials".

The term has been mainstream since probably, 2007. How do people not realize that the people in their 20s and teens that they were hearing about over 10 years ago have aged 10+ years since they started hearing about them? I don't get it, I don't remember people calling millennials Gen-Xers when we were younger.

Tbh I think something is wrong mentally with the new crop of 45+ people, they can't seem to keep up with things.

Probably because a the definition of a "millennial" is way to big. technically those born between 1981 – 1996. I'm damn near 40, but somehow lumped in with kids that had a *completely* different upbringing both socially and technically.

I’ve noticed this too. Imo it’s prob because of the stupidity or tech consumption associated with being millennial has continued and gotten worse. With gen Xers we were the last generation that grew up before or in the very early days of internet. The millennial stereotypes about work and other things seen as “manly” has also gotten worse so to a lot of older people especially the boomers they’re still basically the same thing.

never seen star wars

Marvel movies are good and lot of comedy. and idk how the director did like 23 good movies without one flopping. thats pretty damn amazing. so i respect marvel for that

i dont classify them as nerdy/geeky at all. theyre just good movies with a long connection of other movies. makes them no difference than like Terminator series

Not necessarily. Depends on if they contribute to society or just rot. I’m 40 and still like video games. Doesn’t mean that’s all I care about. It was always just another form of entertainment no different than watching a Netflix show to me.
