OK, well, some of my best friends are women, usually older women, and I don't think they want to be my best friend because I'm gay but obviously it helps. Like we can go on weekends away together and be in the same bed watching a movie together and there to be no possibility at all of anything untoward. So I think women feel safe with that.

I think people assume that because I'm gay I'm going to be a liberal. I used to support Greens but last year I had a sea change and gradually realised how awful the left is in Britain at the moment. Some of my family and friends, vehemently left-wing, ditched me when I told them I voted Tory in December.

I have actually been part of a threesome in the past. The bottom in that relationship wanted to top and so he topped me while his partner watched. A lot of the gay folks that I know have jumped ship from the Pride parades now, so just wondering if there is a common sense of disassociation with the whole pride movement thing now.

Your thoughts on teaching little children about homosexuality in schools/society? As a gay man do you think this is appropriate or that kids should grow up and determine their sexual orientation themselves rather than have it instilled in them at an early age.

Very interesting mate because I had a similar experience, I was always quite left wing in my teens and early 20s but I started drifting towards more conservative viewpoints after I saw the constant attacks on free speech coming mostly from the left and a lot of friends judged me when I told them as well, strange times!

I've never been to gay pride and don't really want to. I'm too shy and I think it's not an accurate representation of being gay. People at work know I'm gay -- I can't really hide it although I'm not queeny or annoying like that.

Pride for me is too linked up now with left-liberal social engineering, trying to bash everyone over the head with this social agenda. It'll come back to bite us if we're not careful.

Hmm I don't know. These days parents are being denied their own responsibility for their children and schools, dictated by a left-liberal agenda, are now pushing children's personal education.

I think sex education should be quite minimal really: there are two sexes but different ways of expressing gender within those two sexes; that some males love males and some females love females and some people love both sexes. That any kind of sex needs protection when you're not monogamous, and that how we present ourselves impacts whether someone thinks we're capable of consent.
