Need Samsung smartphone assistance... (reps for helpful answers)

I have tons of photos and videos on my current phone (S7 Edge) that I need to transfer to my new phone (A71).

My current phone's charging jack is messed up and I can't connect anything to my PC to transfer files.

What's the best (the faster the better) way to transfer all of these files?

they should be connected to your google account. In my case I didn't even need to transfer anything. Just sign in with ur account on the new phone and they transfer automatically.

Isn't there a smart transfer from Samsung to Samsung? The newer phones should have it.

It uses wifi to transfer your stuff.

This would seem like the best way to do it.

Does my current (old) phone need to have a SIM inside? I don't think so.

In that case I'd just put the SIM in my new phone and do the transfer.

Install the Google Photos App if it's not already installed and sync all of your media to the Google Cloud, you German Autist.

I hate uploading my personal photos anywhere even if it's not officially "public" I don't trust it.

Samsung smart switch brah. Download the app onto the old phone. The new phone will have it already. Open it up in both phones and then the old one click "Send Data" and the new one will be the one to receive data. It will literally mirror your old phone, just make sure they're both charged.

It's wireless too

Smart Switch. It can be done phone to phone wirelessly.

I'd give my life for Smart Switch

Use a hair dryer or stuff the phone in the middle of a bag of rice for several hours.

without a cloud backup, you're risking losing everything should your device break, get stolen, or lost.

install fb messenger. make a new account. send the pics to your actual ******** account.
go on your computer, go on ********. download all the pics you sent to yourself.

this also works with 2 whatsapp accounts if you have a macbook with whatsapp on your computer.

or you can upload them on dropbox or some cloud.

the fb/whatsapp way does reduce picture quality. so be aware of that.
sending it to your own email also reduces quality.

Lmao I do have a Google account, plenty of them actually. I just never did the Google back-up thing.

However...

I might want to do that.
