are we in the golden age of anything?

most things I can think of peaked way before.

video games were GOAT in late 90s to early-mid 2000s, after that they got ruined by microtransactions & excessive commercialization, too much focus on graphics
raves were GOAT in 90s before governments started banning them
most music peaked in 80s and 90s
science peaked in the 60s with the space race, after that it became about developing the smallest smartphone (semi srs)
sloots peaked in the 70s and 80s before AIDS, hnnngh miami vice sloots
gyms peaked in the 80s with Arnold
coca cola was best in the 80s, thanks Pablo

honestly golden age of TV (prime GOT, sopranos, breaking bad, wire, black mirror, Fargo, watchmen, the shield, LOST, house of cards, true detective). everything else has peaked tho.

Nope. Almost everything starts sucking after 1-2 seasons now.

Peaky Blinders, Ozark, Better Call Saul and Last Kingdom are the only good things on TV now.

I mean if you look back historically TV was seen as a 2nd tier production. Now you have legit movie stars and Oscar winners doing TV. Big time actors, way bigger budgets. Like mahershala Ali for example (true detective and house of cards). or Kevin spacey (house of cards). regina king and Jeremy irons (watchmen). the entire scope of TV has changed big time in the last 10-20 years. Its now seen as more serious and almost equal to film in many ways. Prestige TV as they call it now. And I forgot too mention Mad men too.

I think we're on the verge of a resurgence in space travel tech - there's some incredible engineering going on at the moment and manned missions to Mars are probably not that far in the future.
