Seems like they were looting with it. The back is filled with stolen goods - backpacks, jackets, suitcases, tool boxes, shoes, and even random stuff like mannequin limbs.

Also the handgun (not pictured) which was recovered from the vehicle that goes with the clip and bullets in the pic was stolen.

Get the insurance company to total it, you do not want that car back as you don't know what they could have done to it.

same chit when my truck got stolen, no gun though

some tweaker using it to commit more crimes, mine was full of tools stolen from all sorts of people

weird feeling of violation getting back into your car after someone else has trashed it.. if they don't total it, make sure you drain and replace all fluids, gas included before driving it much. never know what they put into it.

I'd rather keep the car, it is an uncommon trip/option combination and not easily replaceable. I'll have it checked out mechanically on the insurance company's dime.
