Would you stuff $5,000 cash in an envelope and mail it to yourself?

If not, how can you trust voting by mail?

Considering there are tons of people who get paid, or pay others, via literal cheques in the mail, yes.

Smooth brains equating cash with a check itt

I've mailed large amounts of cash to supplement sellers in the past when they didn't take WU and it's very stressful waiting to see if the USPS steals it.

No way would I do it again, much less a clearly marked vote enevlope that a union worker 90 IQ parasite along the chain is likely to tamper with

Sure, as the mailman would simply have to read the address and deposit it back into my own mailbox.

Would I mail it to some other address? No definitely not.

I'm guessing this is in reference to the mail-in voting debacle. We've ALWAYS had mail-in voting, but it was largely for absentee ballots. Hell, even Trump along with Republican/Democrat Politicians vote by mail, even when they don't need to. Trump also said that mail in voting was fine in Florida... because that's where he votes lol. Trump even tried to register to vote in Florida with an out-of-state address which is literally the same thing he is bitching about people doing. Trump also benefited from Mail-In Ballots on some of the major swing states. However, this is COVID-19, and we knew a long time ago that this would be a possibility leading up to election day that A LOT of people would mail in ballot. Now the rhetoric that Trump seems to be pushing is that he has almost "intentionally" held back money from the postal office to sabotage mail-in voting because they would have needed the funds to beef up the postal service to handle the additional amount of votes. So on paper to the common folk, it looks like Trump is trying to game the system to ensure that he wins, even though in the past Mail-in voting has largely favored Republicans.

I would imagine that Mail-In Voting, if done properly, would be more secured than your typical voting measures. You have an online database of voters who are registered to vote, you scan in and log that vote, and then if another vote is re-entered to that person, it gets rejected, flagged, and should be investigated. Mail-In votes also require a lot more work for the voter since if one thing is wrong on the sheet, it will get rejected. The real problem is not mail-in voting, the problem is with the government. I don't get how in 2020, we don't have a database that logs the census, the registered voters, and then automatically disqualify people if they are a convicted felon who lose the right to vote, or if someone dies/moves away. The reality is that a voting will soon pretty much become an online ordeal, and hell one day you could probably just vote from your phone. But a large swath of the country is way further behind than a lot of the established states due to chit internet service.
