Have you ever had paranoid delusions/Schizo?
Just got done watching Horse Girl and holy chit the thought of developing some paranoid delusion scares the hell out of me.
Imagine getting convinced you have an alien implant in your head, or your parents have been replaced with imposters etc.
Has anyone ever experienced or knew someone who had that? How do they respond when you tell them they're delusional?

When I was really depressed, I started to wonder if there was a god and it had it out for me somehow. As if the universe were conspiring against me somehow...Part of me sort of wonders about it, but I kind of table that thought since I can't do anything about it either way.

My birth mother was diagnosed schizophrenic. She was usually unmedicated which led to several episodes being on the receiving end of her abuse in the short time that I knew her, then died of alcohol-induced cirrhosis.
It's an indescribable feeling of despair, watching someone truly believe their delusions. How did she respond if I'd say she was delusional? (I'd usually use euphemisms, or sort of grey rocking - "I don't think that's true" etc.) Uh, one time she called me the n-word (???) Another time she wrote me a very long letter all about how after being hours old, she locked us both in a hospital room and thought it would be fun to not hold me as I cried or screamed or something. Probably not true (do hospital doors even lock from the inside?) just crazy hurtful things that unwell people say. I intensely empathize with anyone suffering from or loving someone with schizophrenia.

Never.
Have a close friend who is diagnosed schizophrenic. He has struggled with his weight, due to medication and has had a few episodes. But nothing too scary.
Was the object of someone's delusion on the misc once.

I was diagnosed at 17, earlier that year I thought I was the anti-Christ and that salvation was for everyone but me. I believed that I was a sacrifice for mankind so nobody would go to hell, and I had to remain alone and cut off from humanity in the afterlife.
At another time, I thought World War 3 was looming, and I and my family would have to hide like Anne Frank did during World War 2.
I als believed God would grant me special powers, and if anyone from the government tried to experiment on me, they would be amazed at how their chemicals had no effect on me.
I saw a psychiatrist and didn’t believe I was mentally ill, that they had made a mistake. Now, I’m medicated and know those were delusions. The only thing that happens to me occasionally is I get manic every few years.
