Am I missing something about the Jacob Blake shooting?

I've been off the grid the last week with no real internet or phone access and have just gotten back home to see outrage and protests over this and I don't really understand why?

1. Cops knew he was a violent offender with sexual assault and domestic abuse charges
2. Wrestled Police and also had a knife in his hand
3. Told police he had a gun in his car
4. Ignored police requests to get on ground and opened his car door
5. Get's shot

Am I missing something here?

When the cops first pulled up and got out of their cruisers they all simultaneously said the n-word, but everything else you listed was accurate.
