Let me know your next buy so I can buy it after the post-buy drop.

Oh, and go with the digital Seiko with the calculator and universal remote.

- The Head of Banking Regulation (Re: not federal reserve) speaks to new banking technology.
- "US Banks' regulator allows banks to hold cryptocurrencies (plural) for the first time."
- "US Banks's Refulator Grants Rare banking license to fintech company"

and his direct quote ""I think the best solution which you see in other parts of the world... is to have faster payments that are innovated by private companies but aresupervised by federalwatch dogs like us"

Think you two just got confused with the federal reserve vs banks, and blockchain-tech vs cryptocurrency. I'm high on XRP because I believe its blockchain tech (Ripple) will be the leading blockchain tech leveraged by banks. Like the blockchain version of Zelle.

Whenever I think parkerscott is lame for holding BAT, or second guess myself for holding XRP, I read chit like this.

Just confirms my decision to stay away from hype and accumulate solid projects before they blow. I attended a conference 2 fuking years ago where I heard a finance guy mention they were playing with financial apps on LINK when it was .50 cents. That chit 40X. Hell even if you only count since May it 5X off the $3 it was.

I'm staying out of hypes and just accumulating solid projects until their time comes. Chasing these chitcoin pumps is how you get to wear Seikos.

BAT looks like a boring and slow moving asset until its not. Catching a 2x at the bottom is the difference between a 20x and 40x. As long as the userbase keeps growing at the same rate or more it cannot remain underhyped. Fundamentally it looks extremely strong and people are starting to see the light.

I stand corrected.

Where does XRP's value come from Ripple network being used? Via gas fees?

It's a great idea but had the realization that a good chunk of tokens are given away with no money going into it.

Thats not how it works... Advertisers have to buy the tokens to advertise. They are already delivering ads with CTR's 9x industry average with no ad fraud. There is the potential advertisers buy 100's of billions of dollars worth of ads. Thats billions of dollars of monthly market buys. Not sure why this is so hard for people to understand. Then again most of the people in this thread have portfolios made of literal chitcoins.
Lfup8eIvwfE[/yoe]

Watch that video cedric dahl clearly takes XRP apart.
I'll give this a watch later in the day and get back to you. Hopefully it has different talking points than the usual "Ripple holds the majority of XRP and therefor can suppress that price at will" argument. I've heard that one and accepted it.
I stand corrected.

Where does XRP's value come from Ripple network being used? Via gas fees?
I'll look into this. FULL transparency on my end, I wasn't concerned about its actual value because i know how the crypto scene works. Back when coinbase only had Bitcoin and Ethereum available to purchase, XRP mooned to $3 just off getting a coinbase listing.

My bet is that if U.S. banks adopt a blockchain platform for near instant payments, i believe Ripple will be that platform. If that ever gets confirmed the news alone will send the price to what? $2? $3? higher? I've been accumulating at 20 and 30 cents for so long i'm looking at least 10X on my stack should that news ever come out. Again, that's just my own strategy and preference to accumulate and speculate. I could certainly be wrong but i like the odds on this one for a hold through thanksgiving.

__________________________________________________ ____________________________

NOW HAVING SAID ALL THAT. Anyone have any other not chitcoins that I should look into? I've got a pretty obnoxious stack of XRP and I want to diversify a bit. I know a big one is Vechain/VET but i already missed the first major pump back in june/july and I hate jumping in hype after the fact. That's how you get seiko'd.

Cardano seems nice and quiet and I know there was some chatter about that. I'm completely out on link. Already super pumped, tons of hype now, so I want to stay out of it. Again, my preference is to accumulate over time before the hype.

I'm not worried about a whale dumping his holding. The XRP I accumulated at 20 cents just last month were up more than 50% just from the tiny spike to 36 cents. I'm looking for the 20% gainz just as much as i'm looking for the 500% gains.

Edit: Also going to just shut up about XRP until Election/Thanksgiving time. Don't want to be an annoying shill. I'll also be a good sport and come back to collect my L if it plummets to like 10 cents or something like that too lol.

Nothing wrong with XRP, I'm in XRP too, and I don't believe in this garbage. But it's a money magnet asset when the time is right.

But I think BTC is going to eat some alts up soon. Looks like we are in October 2016 phase, where BTC heads up back to 20k if it's a bull run.

A LOT of correction going on right now too though. My last two deposits onto the exchange were in stable coins because everything (BTC included) has been slipping all fuking week.

On a separate note, what's everyone's thoughts on Compound and Kava?

I personally used compound and was making hundreds of dollars a day, but its a dumpster fire. They constantly rushed updates to fix individual token economies and they did this by strong arming everyone. Compound tokens are just governance tokens right now, and nobody has really been able to govern anything because VC's would just put their weight behind a proposal. Interest rates are dropping, contract gas fees are insanely high, and they rush code consistently. The token is basically designed to get dumped by farmers unless people vote on some type of dividend proposal for compound token holders.

Its got a lot of good and bad things going for it, but i would sooner invest in something else.

chit coin? absolutely not, but it's never gonna make you a ton of money either. I would dump it for something that has pump potential over the next 4 months.
