In seriousness, moving from a hunter gatherer society to one based on agriculture both created civilization and was required to make the transition. Large numbers of people working together to survive forces people to learn social skills like compromise, negotiation, some sort of decision making structure. Even things modern people take for granted like sticking to a work schedule-if you can't get 100 people together in the wheat field or the rice paddy, your little proto-town isn't going to survive.

Agriculture and domestication settled the hunter gatherer issue. Writing settled the knowledge issue (knowledge and technology was now able to be retained through multiple generations). From there communities got bigger and more tools were invented to make life easier. Fast forward to present day and little has changed from this basic concept.

Making fire? Not so much.

Making a fire seems fairly intuitive- maybe it is now because it’s part of our evolution.

Logic could be as basic as:
Fire is hot
I rub hands together and they get warm
If I rub sticks together they get warm and smoke
Keep rubbing sticks together to get fire

Or just by accident with flint.
Let’s say there is some tinder on the floor next to the cave wall
Cave wife says something stupid and caveman throws a rock at her.
Rock hits the side of the cave and throws out a spark that lands on the tinder and it smolders

i think about this a lot.

like we went from sand dunes to building skyscrapers and putting rockets in space. crazy.

It’s all based off of harnessing energy.

Harnessing heat energy allowed for us to cook meat and develop our brains more.

At the same time before animal domestication, it was man power that did work.

Domestication of animals made for stronger animals to do work along with humans. - Horsepower

Then building better kilns to utilize heat energy again to build forged tools.

Then a **** load of time before we started to harness gravity, albeit limitedly (aqueducts).

Started to use water to move water wheels

Heat energy again is used to create steam and now we have locomotion.

Then electricity is eventually harnessed and turbines are again utilized to generate electricity.

Nuclear energy then is harnessed to again generate heat and move large turbines.

Gravity is then harnessed to launches satellites into orbit.

So the question now is are their any other forces to be discovered? Can we creatively use the forces that we know of to do something different?

Right now, the nuclear forces aren’t being efficiently utilized. Nuclear fusion will be a huge game changer once we can utilize it efficiently.
