Comorbidities

Table 3 shows the types of health conditions and contributing causes mentioned in conjunction with deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.

Let me just copy and paste what I wrote in an older thread;
Death certificates always list the underlying cause of death as the primary cause of death. This isn't some new procedure to make trump look bad, its been like this for as long as we've kept death certificates.

Moreover, If we're going to go by the logic that heart attacks brought on by Covid aren't Covid deaths, then noone has never died of a disease like cancer. They've instead all died from heart attacks and strokes and organ failure.

If someone dies of a heart attack brought on by covid, then they died from covid because they otherwise would not have died.

Lol @ how harshly our deaths are pulled to the extreme side of the elderly. Looks like over half our overall deaths are from people aged 80+, anything under that 65-74 age bracket starts to shrink a lot.

I just caught covid srsrsrsrsrs. I'm currently trying to recover and its been a full week. Body still in pain, weakness, fever, lost sense of smell. Its pretty ****ty man I can't lie. Have to take pain medication all day everyday just to walk around my apartment without falling over. Im lucky to be young and strong like Ox with boner if not I'd be in the hospital right now.

Yea Pritzker just updated the rules for my county in IL and making even more restrictions. My town told him to suck a fat one though and are not following the rules.

I wouldn't say it isn't that serious because obviously its killing people. But what it does is it activates and worsens already preexisting illnesses so thats the seriousness. These people dying would normally survive a cold or flu, but Covid does something to them that causes severe symptoms.

What they do know is that Memory T Cells help fight Covid, thats why many healthy people are able to fight the virus with little to mild symptoms. So they believe those dying or severe their body doesn't produce enough T cells and their immune system is very weak. Its why they are saying to get a lot of Vitamin D and B vitamins in mainly through a well balanced diet and avoid high sugar.

Those with weak immune systems suffer, so hopefully America will now take their health and diet serious we should see less obese people, Covid has claimed many obese people with poor health.

Strengthen the immune system so the T cells stay strong ready to fight.

thats bc covid causes pneumonia and other infections. My sister in law got pnuemonia from covid and was coughin up blood and had to be in the hospital for 2 weeks. I forgot what treatments they gave but i know one was the plasmatransfussion or whatever

just because someone was on "thin ice" and covid happened to be what killed them, doesn't mean that covid doesn't count. If anything, Americans should be more cautious about C19 than any other western nation on earth because most people here are a bunch of "balaenoptra's" with hypertension, heart disease, diabeetus or a combination of the three all of which exacerbate the virulence of the infection.

That is like the worst analogy ever

It’s more like a boat with multiple patched up holes in the middle of the ocean. Any of the holes could give way at any minute. One finally does and you blame that one particular hole when the reality is all of those patched holes were about to cave.

Simple matter of the fact is one hole happened to beat the rest to the punch.

Ok ok... maybe these people would have lived an extra week or maybe a month. Maybe even 3 months.

But the truth is most were going down. Just like that patched up boat.

So blame the one hole if you want. But if you had covered that one hole with something super strong one of the other holes would have caved anyway.

The boat was going down at some point relatively soon

I can give you another one if you don’t like the boat one.

Pretend a person gets shot 7 times with no one to call for rescue. One of those shots is a direct bullet to the brain killing the person instantly.

Of the remaining 6 one punctures a lung that causes the lung to pool with blood and eventually kill the person from lack of oxygen.

You have the choice to shut down the entire economy for 2020 if it means you get to block the one bullet to the brain (the direct kill).

The other 6 bullets will stand regardless of your choice to block the direct kill bullet.

So... do you buy the poor bastard a likely very brief amount of extra time at the expense of everyone else?
