cops aren't the sharpest tools in the shed to begin with. Give them some power and most are going to abuse it.

Agreed. It takes longer to become a barber than it does to become a police officer. Take that for what it's worth. If a barber zeeks you, your hair will eventually grow back. If a cop kills you, you don't get to respawn. You have untrained, unstable, power hungry cops who think they are above the law because of a badge. Minorities have been disproportionately targeted by them for decades. **** them.

Being a cop should be a long, complex process wirh frequent, yearly psychological and physical requirements.

If you feel physically incapable of handling the majority of average joes without reaching for your glock, then you shouldn't be a cop

Obviously small towns can relax these standards somewhat, but in big cities with large applicant pools, lol at letting just anyone be a cop

If a human doesn't know how to behave like a human, then they shouldn't be treated like one, because that's literally the job of a human.

If you cop an attitude and resist arrest because dindu nuffin then you deserve to be physically restrained and placed in a box.

There will always be low IQ individuals that are too dumb to grasp the concept, though, so there will always be losers complaining about 'police brutality'.

Cops need to learn some hand to hand combat. This could be easily been avoided with a takedown.

What are they taught in the academy? How to take down someone already in handcuffs?
