Growing up in a failed communist state makes for a hard life where you have to be tough, or you die. You either lived through it or you exist in the current shadow of it because it’s still there in bits and pieces.

These American losers with their Starbucks, protests and free government handouts have no idea what that **** is actually like.

Why do you think the Russian Czars where called like that? Czar = Cesar...

They saw themselves like a continuation of Rome after the fall of Constantinople and the bizantine empire (that was the actual continuation of rome) Since both the byzantine empire and the russian tsardom adhered to the easter orthodox rite when constantinople fell the hub of the eastern orthodox rite moved to tsarist Russia. Makes sense really.

They aren't different than us

It's just the constant subtle or not so subtle messaging through media and entertainment that gets you to dislike, be afraid of, or think you're different than them. For whatever reason, the elites of the West want you to feel like you have more in common with a man from China or a migrant from ****lia than a family valuing, hard working, capable of fortitude, like minded Russian.

Russia outpaced us in so many different aspects of STEM throughout the 1900s, yet they want you to believe the "Slav engineering" stereotype. Why is it they constantly barrage us with anti Russian propaganda but try to prop up other countries and cultures? What's the end goal here? Gotta start asking more questions

It's mostly religious.

The first Rome is obviously Rome itself when the Empire converts to Christianity, that continues to 1054 when the Catholic Church spilts between West and East (Orthodox Christianity, the Rus side with)

Constantinople is the new second Rome. As the first Rome is seen to have fallen into heresy. Byzantine Empire ( Eastern Roman Empire) becomes the new Roman Empire and is the protector of all Christians in their eyes.

The Ottoman Empire conquered Constantinople, Second Rome falls.

Moscow gets declared the "Third Rome" In the 15th to 16th centuries thus the new protector and new Empire.

Obviously, under the commies, this idea was suppressed but it was played up in WW2 with the Germans being seen as the successor to the Western Roman Empire on their side.

Putin revived the double-headed Eagle crest of the Byzantine Empire as Russia's coat of arms and reestablished the links with the Church.

There are other things, like marriages between Byzantine Princes and Rus Princess, etc . There is more obscure stuff like Rome was built on 7 hills, so was Moscow. But it's mostly religious.

Cliffs: It's all about Eagle symbols, all the cool empires have them.

I would rather live in Russia than America. Russia is great in many ways, but it´s a huge country where some parts are very different to others. Most white americans have west europe DNA, so yes, Russians are genetically different. Many different ethnicities live in Russia though. The slavic russian type is around 95% east european and 5% siberian (mongoloid). Just what I´ve heard.

Lol, I did both, no, you do not want to be homeless in Russia, and you DO want to be a millionaire in America. A better question is what is better, to be a millionaire in Russia or homeless in America. Strangely enough it’s better to be homeless in America, because you can go get a job and become a millionaire, while in Russia you simply get shot and some thug takes your place and money.

I have not been to Australia, had an opportunity when I was young, but it wasn’t appealing enough in my particular situation. Canada yes, but in US the service is just faster, anything you want to be done in US medically you can get done today, like literally 5 minutes from now, anything you want. Good luck getting that elsewhere. You want stem cell therapy, get in the car, a place 5 minutes from you, done. Tooth hurts? Walk in, walk out 30 minutes later with your problem solved at $200 or your insurance covers it. No other country has this system, and especially not universal care countries where you wait forever to get treatment.

That’s where a lot of people misunderstand how the health system in Australia works.

Yes, you can have private health insurance and get the best of the best with no wait list

The key difference is how they treat the poor. You can get world-leading care even if you’re on the Medicare system. Tbh some of the teaching/research universities in the public system are actually better than the private clinics.

Point is there is a choice or at least viable options that won’t bankrupt you if you’re poor or middle class and happen to get sick

Don't homeless people get special treatment in America? Hotels in America were actually taking homeless people off the street due to covid I think. Why would I want to live in cold ass Russia where I'll probably get my ass beaten daily for being a homeless bum...

In USA if you are poor you have several options to get free or very low cost care. For years, even decades I paid $5 for literally anything, that was my co-pay based on my income (we got here as refugees, dirt poor), there is also government programs like Medicare and Medicaid, so please just don’t swallow the socialist cool-aid TV and radio BS people with about USA.

Are you honestly saying that you don't believe that there is propaganda against China, from the west?

My best friend's family is from China, he always fact checks western nations media about China... He doesn't support the CCP, but he often explains to me how it's routinely half truths and smearing.

Well, let’s face it, we have TVs with more color at lower price than you do... Can you right now today affordably get stem cell therapy? Be honest. If yes, ok, you guys have amazing healthcare, like the USGood for you. Congrats. That’s awesome. I would love to visit Australia soon. New Zealand too. I hear great things about both places.
