CDC admits that out of the 180k+ deaths, only ~6% of the deaths were due to actual covid, the rest had underlying disease.

The CDC updated the provisional counts on deaths that have occurred from COVID-19 on Aug. 26, and in the section on comorbidities, they revealed that only 6% of the deaths were caused by just the virus.
Among the comorbidities that also contributed to the high death toll were hypertensive disease, diabetes, vascular and unspecific dementia, cardiac arrest and heart failure.

Fair enough, but I'm not going entirely left field with the comparison. The mask requirement, and social distancing, is still drastically affecting businesses ability to operate (IE restaurants, bars, etc). It still reinforces the notion of avoiding and fearing other people, and keeps the ball rolling as far as forcing people to work from home, not go out, etc.

The County I live in has a mandatory mask requirement, but has opened restaurants, shops, etc. The case load continues to go down because people are actually wearing masks even though sh!t is open.
