As far as I'm aware there is no such thing as an anterior motive. And yes, I'm fully aware you can be into skating cause its fun with no ulterior motives. But I'm still not wrong.

You counterdict yourself.

You do know when a person lacks the ability to see when they are in the wrong and or sees it but fails to acknowledge it cause they can not permit themselves to admit they were in the wrong that person walks in circles his or her entire life making one folly after the other and getting no where and achieving nothing except being glued and stuck to their own failure. Which is only a failure cause you refuse to acknowledge your mistake and make the required correction.

But by all means. Carry on

Every human ever born has phucked up and made a mistake and or was in the wrong what seperates those you move forward and prosper from those who remain stuck in life is one sees and corrects and the other ignores

From last year before I got back into lifting again.
I was pretty much forced to give up skating in my prime due to a severe injury.
Came back for about a year, but screwed it up again unfortunately.
Back to lifting since then.

Make sure you have insurance, surgically fixing a broken bone is about $20k without it

Always wear a helmet & knee pads at the very least, the first thing you do is learn how to fall

I wore them after my first time down a 12' concrete bowl @ 13 years old, bailed on the way back and it took the skin off my shins almost entirely. Lesson learned QUICK.

Had a boyo that used to wear those thin gym shorts, he went to do a heel flip and I chit you not he landed on the edge of the board pegging his anus and ripping it, blood going down his leg like a period.

He always wore jeans after that, srs

Just mogged everyone else skating skills in this thread haha.

What injuries did you get? A big factor keeping me from going hard skating again is I'm more concerned about injuries now at almost 27 than I was when I was 16.

Probably need to startactually wearinga helmet, lord forbid the kids don't think I'm cool anymore.

Cool man, PM me your address and I'll send you a board. We'll get your kids on a skateboard and maybe you'll get to see them enjoy a new hobby that can teach them the meaning of perseverance and applied effort.

And maybe we'll get around to giving you some quality time with them when you bring them to the local skate spot

Basically fully torn all ankle ligaments at a contest when I was 16, kept tearing again every time I got back on the board. Recovery was at least a year each time for that. At that time I wanted nothing more than just being able to skate. Broke some bones here and there, some knee injuries. But you need properly working feet the most.

When I got back into it, I was also definitely more afraid, but if you just keep skating consistently you get more comfortable on the board and less concerned. My wrists always take a beating when skating, so pretty hard to combine with lifting.

Started 17+ years ago i'd say. But with too many gaps in between to get consistently good, always playing catch-up trying to get back to previous levels.
Fully committed probably 5-6 years.
