Is Jai Alai the new national sport?

Since all other sports are political events, I'm guessing it's jai alai, strongmen competitions, and horse racing.

I remember on an episode of jackass they went to a jai alai center and the jai alai guys were slinging oranges at them and hitting them so fuken hard. It was hilarious.

That sport was pretty big in South Florida/Miami back in the 80s.... i guess it was popular in Tampa too seeing the beer named after it.

It was only ever “popular” because it was in the title credits of Miami Vice. That’s the only reason it’s even been heard of. Pelota on the other hand....
