Goat fukn decade.
Sneaking into movie theaters, and being loud throughout the movie.
Actually having to talk to people in real life. Kids like me actually playing outside all day and drinking all night.

Now everything is sterilized and standardized for maximum efficiency.
When I started downloading MP3's in the late 90's (in lieu of of mix cassette tapes) the sensation was that it was simply too good to be true, nobody couldn't believe something like that could exist.
There's nothing to get excited about anymore in these respects, life today feels so much more mundane.

Can we not take a moment to point out how diverse and progressive this ad is from 1992? Help my sweet fuk, you got one of each. Even got a little handicap kid. Kids don't know racism or bigotry. They're all as equally enthralled by a fat old jolly man with magical powers.

This is the true greatness of the 90s and 2000s in regards to technology. It was progressing so fast and visibly, that everything felt always new. If you bought a new game chances are it was a completely unknown experience. One didn't know how the graphics would look like and how the game play would feel like.
Nowadays many games are objectively better, but also objectively more similar. When I buy a game, I cannot hope for a totally different experience than Skyrim 10 years or so ago(thx Unreal engine). If I buy a new smartphone it is going to be the same than my previous one just fast and with a bigger harddrive.
