If you want something fun, Miata is an excellent choice for a first car. They're reliable, low maintenance, and theyaren't really fast (stock) but are still a phucking blast to drive and a lot of fun. They're the perfect "learner" platform for sports cars, and if you absolutely love it and want to keep the car or invest more in it, again, they respond really well to modifications.

I doubt OP is talking about latest model Miata, most likley an affordable NA Miata. But yeah, Abarth 124 is a beast.

I've been thinking about getting one, soft top though. I don't know if I could live with it, it's a very small car, and I am the opposite of small. I test drove an S2000 a few weeks ago, super fun, super uncomfortable.

Lol 124 mogged the Miata in fun factor and that speaks a lot since the Miata is brilliantly fun in the first place.
