I have to say this, and I feel like it's so very important for us to acknowledge in these times.

Companies don't give a fuk.

If they could pay you $0.10 and hour and also chop your balls off, they would do it. There's a reason why a minimum wage exists, it's because most companies would gladly pay you next to nothing for the job you're performing if they could.

All this pandering and virtue signalling means nothing coming from companies that would sooner watch you slowly atrophy in poverty while some rich buffoon buys his tenth yacht.

They don't care about you, racism, or anything else but public opinion and the dollars coming in.

Usually I don't post stuff like this, but it's reached a point where it feels like they think we're idiots and can't recognize that they don't give a fuk and are only pressing the hot button topics for profit

I got thrown out in the middle of night from Lyft haha. It was a shared ride and all three of them were black, driver included. They wouldn't let me ride with them. The driver said "get out". I said "why", he said I want you to get out of this car.

Somewhat true. But still shafting the **** out of your employees and not really doing anything to help solve real issues cancels that out. I will wait to see what actions these virtue signaling companies actually take toward improving their diversity/race relations.

whenever I take uber, I just get the estimate and cancel the ride. then I pay the driver in full cash so that he gets the full amount of money.
