I saw it on Netflix recently, I was planning on watching the first two episodes but it was so good, I binge watched all 20 episodes in one day.

The Boys. And if you never saw it, Banshee was the GOAT.

keep hearing people (well miscers) mention cobra kai.

Looked like it would be really cheesy but may actually give it a go, never seen karate kid though so dont know if thats important.

It's definitely good. And there aren't many good ones out there now, but the Last Kingdom is pretty damn good.

And I don't know if Miscers would like it, but Lucifer is a good show, too.

You need to at least watch the first Karate Kid movie. The characters aren't in the second and one or two show up again in the third.

Sometimes its cheesy seemingly on purpose.

Should def watch the 1st movie before so you know the background.

I hadnt seen the movie in 20 years but still could follow the story. Rewatching the movie and noticed there were even more references to it in the show that I missed.

You'd enjoy it more having seen Karate Kid as a kid because there's a lot of nostalgia and it's kind of got a cornball 80's movie vibe, but I think you'll still enjoy it.

It's strange for the last week I'd just watched Karate Kid I, II and III on Amazon Prime and someone posted a thread about the show. "Cobra Kai" isn't available on Prime yet, so I am considering to subscribe Netflix for this show. But Amazon Prime has so many shows and movies I haven't watched yet. While it's a great thing, at the same time it's surely a conundrum.

I wish Mr. Miyagi were still alive and literally kicking. *bow*

It started good, but I gave up after season 2 ep. 3. Might just fast forward through the garbage and watch the Johnny portions.

It's intentionally cheesy multiple times - in one episode Daniel offers to make his daughter "bananarama pancakes" - the original movie's theme song was "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama. Miguel asks Johnny if there is any specific way he should be cleaning the windows and Johnny says he doesn't care. Lotta little things.

That said, the best shows right now are Barry on HBO (waiting on season 3) and Yellowstone (just finished season 3)

I got hooked on the Cobra Kai brahs. Talk about a very good story line and character development.
