Idk. I’ve learned to look past political views(yes, much of this is politically driven) and pay attention to the actual poster/person. When it’s not involving these issues, he’s a good poster

"Cracker," the old standby of Anglo insults was first noted in the mid 18th century, making it older than the United States itself. It was used to refer to poor whites, particularly those inhabiting the frontier regions of Maryland, Virginia and Georgia. It is suspected that it was a shortened version of "whip-cracker," since the manual labor they did involved driving livestock with a whip (not to mention the other brutal arenas where those skills were employed.) Over the course of time it came to represent a person of lower caste or criminal disposition, (in some instances, was used in reference to bandits and other lawless folk.)

But it turns out cracker's roots go back even further than the 17th century. All the way back to the age of Shakespeare, at least.

Overall, I've never had an issue with sword_ over the long years. Sure, I haven't seen every single one of his posts, but from what I've seen he is okay. I've seen some posts of his I don't agree with (in terms of black/white relations) but freedom of speech allows him to voice his opinion, as it should allow me to voice mine.

You disavowed BLM as a political-idealogical organization, so we got that out of the way. Not that I require everyone I associate with to believe this - I can (and do on an everyday basis) get along with people of all sorts of different sets of values and ideas. .

The only thing that's left is to tell us your opinion on White people. Do you think we're a bunch of mayo eating, racist crackers? Or do you think most are cool except the people actively going around acting like racists?

But I can't STAND mayo

Also some white people can't handle anything spicy. My GF is spice averse and her father cannot handle spicy food which I find funny ASF but that doesn't make me hate anyone.

I'll admit over the years that I do question some of the genuinely of white people when it comes to race issue, mainly white liberals. I find myself on the slight opposite spectrum of their discussions and I feel like some talk down to me and act as though they "know" what's best for Black folks. It really infuriates me. Not to mention many of them hold unconscious biases towards Blacks.

I also notice that some white people will say "I don't see color" yet exoticize Latino and Asian cultures. They only have a visceral response to anything "Black" because they associate it with some sort of latent guilt they had so they would rather avoid it all together.

Some Black people annoy me too b/c any time a non-Black person does something it's "cultural appropriation" and some have to always make fun of white people on stuff.

Again, really it's good to just to take people as people at face value.

I think it's weird when people say I don't see color. Some member posted the other day something and said no matter if green or blue.. and I said there are no green or blue people.

I know the black people I work with are black. Some of their experiences are different, even as being from a different country, their culture is different.

But...I don't constantly think of their blackness and I don't react to them based on anything except our mutual human experience we have and in that sense I could say I don't see their color nor think about it. They have my back. They don't go to HR after we fight and disagree and we disagree and fight a lot lmao.
