So why is it that the skin color of voice actors is suddenly a big deal?

I had some leftists try to tell me the Lord of the Rings trilogy was racist because it didn't feature a lot of black actors.

Yeah it seems like their ideals push for more division than anything else. They have this hyper-focus on skin color and it's not healthy and shows how they only see people for the color of their skin, the content of their character isn't even a consideration for them.

They were not any black characters in the Lord of The Rings. Tolkien like all people are a product of their experience and their nature (Nature vs Nurture). As a child he read the Nordic myths. I guess the left is never satisfied. It's like absolutely everything must be a representation of their modern day demographic ideals or it is simply offensive for it to even exist.

Funny, I don't see the media attacking the media production company and standards of China, Saudi Arabia, israel, bollywood ect. They seem to be a bit low on diversity? or does diversity just mean anti-europeanism ?
