Looks like the degen yield farming has moved over to ultra ****coin tron.

Would go in but the tron token price puts me off. Token price hasn't dropped like the rest of the market; if the token price plummets the impermanent loss from the rebalancing liquidity pool isn't worth it compared to the effort needed to play the musical chairs game.

Decided to harvest 'safer' farms instead:

1. yETH in YFI vault - currently 67% APY
2. REN/ETH pool in Sushi - currently 963% APY

in 10 years time:
son: "dad how did you make all your money?"
me: "by farming digital sushi on the internet"

Reminder that the market is extremly overvalued, so we can always dump a lot more. Stricter crypto regulations are coming to several countries as well, and we will see more push back against crypto in the coming year. More and more countries are putting in tighter regulations, and this will likely be the global trend moving forward.

Also remember that Mt Gox trustee will sell off thousands of bitcoins in October. Seems like a lot of sheep have forgotten that one.... They still have 150k BTC to potentially sellIt will keep the price in check this fall

Hope we don't see anything like that march dump again..That is stuff of nightmares

Trading the longer term(weekly or monthly) btc charts is such a nightmare..

Price has constantly broken above/below crucial levels on the weekly charts in the last year, and consistently reversed at these points..!!

I feel like in stock markets higher time frames are more valid because there are a lot more institutional investors and big players looking to trade,

But in btc it is arthurs playground, and the only thing that has seemed to matter is whether the retail traders are long/short yoloing . the more retail traders get rekt, the more likely for price to move towards that point.

I still think we are personally. However i'm both consoled and concerned by cryptos' tie into traditional market performance. On one hand I'm happy the explanation for crypto going to chit is because the stock market is also going to chit which means big money stock investors are also invested in crypto. On the other hand, i'm worried about what will happen to crypto if the election outcome crashes the stock market and thus crashes crypto.

I was under the apparently false assumption that crypto was decoupling from stock market performance but that doesn't seem to be the case at all.

Agreed. The correlation between the stonk market dumps/ing and crypto dumping at the same time is an uneasy one. Would feel great about crypto in general if it mooned during these times. Seems to show people are still far to scared of the risk/think it’s way too risky and won’t got from the frying pan into the fire.

What factors play a role in the amount of yield? It seems so random.

Anyone doing the Ample geyser? I'm about to roll up my sleeve and go in on it. Why can't cryptos have simple UIs?

Yield is determined by:

1. demand for the token (usually amplified by forcing people to lockup the token in the uniswap liquidity pool).
2. pre-determined yield distribution
3. end product (i.e. DEX for sushiswap, yield aggregator for YFI, lending for Curve/Compound/Aave, derivative exchange for Synthetix)

The farms without an end product in point 3 have rug pulls where the token price plummets 90%+ as the whales dump into the liquidity pools once enough suckers put their money in i.e. Kimchi, Harvest, dog****.finance, HOTDOG, shroom.finance, Pasta, Spaghetti, Bacon etc.

Sushi is potentially a massive play, its currently holding a massive proportion of Uniswap liquidity and will migrate them in about a weeks time to its own dex (vampire attack). If it steals even 50% of Uniswap's volume, at $4 per token with a 100,000,000 total supply, it would be severely undervalued.

I´m not american (thank god), but Idex is a good platform from my experience ^^

That people still believe in Btc proves how dumb most people are. It´s a manipulated currency with no underlying asset behind it. The big whales control the market and you´re at their mercy. It´s a manipulated mess, that can´t support mass adoption, so it will always stay a manipualted mess. Crypto is filled with some of the worst scamming humans in the world, I understand why a lot of the smartest people in crypto have left.

Scientists should study the people over at the reddit crypto forums. Really interesting cases of people who play some weird mind games to themselves. Denial, hope, hyppocrites etc. I will stop bitching tho, I know it gets annoying to read.

Yes, very different. It´s rampant manipulation there too, but crypto is far worse. Crypto hype is similar to the .com bubble.
People were mocking me for shorting LINK, well who is laughing now haha? This whole market was made for shorting recently. Whales havent taken profit in a while, and they saw a good opportunity to do so. They bought btc at around 4k, so the whales have made good profit by now.

That dude saying trash is undervalued lmao^^How many goddamnd DEX´s do we need? Who the hell are gonna use all these exchanges? Where´s the millions of people that are gonna use them? Crypto is already a niche thing, and very few people in this world are gonna use a DEX for anything ever. There´s a bunch of good ones existing currently, no need for more until the market grows a lot.

I don´t agree. There will be a crypto that will be more secure than btc eventually, and then it will lose it´s last advantage. Bitcoin is flawed in every way. You can´t have a max cap of coins + the feature that coins can be lost forever. Simple math says that in the end, no coins will be left in circulation. 4 million bitcoins are already lost, how long until half the supply is lost? Inflation needs to be stable and predictable, but also able to be flexible to change in unpresedented situations.

Crypto is worse because it‘s basically penny stocks. TBH, I only invested in crypto because I was interested in the tech as I have been dealing with cryptography in my professional life too. Bought the most promising coins when BTC was at 700. Never participated in active investing, neither in stocks nor crypto.

That ability to change currency on a whim is the very reason driving people to bitcoin. Manipulation of currency has made people question fiat.
