He's a couple years older than me. Well, he just gave me his number 2 weeks ago, so it's not like it's been forever. But still. Yeah. Trying to be patient cause I def think he's attractive and like talking to him. Which is really hard for me to find. And since I'm not on dating apps it's not like I've got a bunch of guys lined up waiting.

That's so annoying. You think that older guys would be really thirsty, but I think their low T levels just make them not as aggressive as younger guys to meet.

Yea there are plenty of girls looking for sugar daddys and paypigs or whatever. Some girls even put their venmo in their bio..and some of them are really hot young girls..

Some call San Jose 'Man jose" and the ratios seem bad for guys. I know the area well since I have good friends there. It's the biggest city in the Bay, and it's part city 'downtown' but has several other more suburban areas. Overall it's decent for meeting girls. Date went alright. Original plans got ruined due to rain. So we just did a basic lunch and spent time talking. Felt like I was carrying the conversation but it seems like he was nervous a bit. So I won’t ditch him because of that.

I did feel like he was making it too sexual but I have an odd comfort zone compared to the avg 24yo

Yes, keeping busy is important. I'm dealing with a bad breakup, although it wasn't as long as yours and I wasn't living with her. I'm staying busy with an adventure group as it gets me out of the house. I'll just fall asleep depressed if I'm at home so I don't have to think about it. I also go to the outside gym.

I also call or text family and friends like you said. It's important to have that network. Work also helps keep my mind off of it.

Been quiet on the women situation last week or two. Got back on bumble a few days ago and I don’t know what it is with that app but I’ve never ever ever had a single match on there. Makes absolutely no sense. Tinder and hinge I would get matches here and there after the initial noob boost but bumble is a different kettle of fish and I’ve never had anything on there and it’s still the same. I’m convinced the app just doesn’t work for me lol.

I got a new job today within my company, it’s a move to a different department and is effectively a promotion, the pay hasn’t increased by much at-all but I’m really happy with the potential opportunities this will bring in the future. It’s like a stepping stone to a window of high paying opportunities and I’m pretty proud of myself.

Well, give it a couple dates and see if he opens up. I met a guy years ago off a dating app that barely spoke the entire time. I was trying to get the convo going and then it made me nervous that he wasn't talking so I felt like I just started babbling about nothing just to fill the silence. I don't mind silence at times, just not when you're meeting someone for the first time. Have something to say FFS.

Also hate it when they start trying to get sexual on the first meet. I like flirting but when you're just meeting for the first time there is no need to start getting sexual. Unless you've already talked about hooking up and stuff.

Yeah. I am. I won’t just write him off after the first date. Met some of his friends today also. Crazy group lol but seems like people I could be around since they don’t get easily offended.
He also called me baby girl in front of them which gave me butterflies a bit lmaoo

I don’t mind a few sexual comments while flirting but asking me to go to your apartment.. is a big no to me. However, he called me last night and said he was happy I stuck to my word. “Not many people stick to them and keep their morals”.

Getting drunk with friends always helped for me. But that can also lead to drunk texting, which probably isn't a good idea.
