Working for a small business sucks. Long hours, no benefits, no profit sharing, and they stiff you on wages.
What we need is more government intervention and socialism. See sig & title.

It's not even so much govt fiscal policy as it is automation. That's the 800lb gorilla no one talks about.
If workers were actually needed, wages would rise accordingly. The laws of supply and demand are immutable. But if workers weren't really needed and were only competitive vs technology below a certain price, we'd see wages stagnate near that line with steady layoffs as the technology cheapens and lowers that bar further. Oh wait, that's exactly what we see.
Look at China for example. Over there, you'll see a crew of like 4 guys riding on the side of a garbage truck and dumping the bins in by hand, whereas in the West we use 1 guy and a hydraulic lift. You'll see 2 security guys watching a parking lot in China, while we use 0 guys and a security camera. Part of that is political, one of the main positives Communism offers to its subjects is guaranteed employment, but the main reason is that their labor is simply cheaper than buying a machine. Once that changes, they'll be gone.
And then we've got miscers here thinking "I've got my CPA, I'll be gainfully employed for life!", with their SVPs ready to automate them with machine learning ********** as soon as the technology becomes reliable and available. They think they're CEO 10k/day, but all they are is just white collar Chinese garbage men.
Anyway, itisa wealth transfer, but it's more of workers' former wages being transferred to the machine owners. Yes, govt is doing their part to pump the market with ZIRP and printing trillions of dollars at the public's expense, but the bedrock issue is that there's tens of millions of American workers who could die tomorrow and all be replaced by automation within a year tops.

In China, I walked into the fab and it was literally thousands of people sitting at stations, soldering each board by hand as they huffed straight lead fumes for 12 hrs every day.

Not much we can do about the middle class dying but the least we can do is protect ourselves by not holding too much cash in savings but holding strong company stocks and some gold and silver. Also no point in holding fixed income now, yields will remain low and you're basically gonna lose money every year since inflation will most likely be higher than your bond yield. Don't be left holding the bag. Buy stocks, real estate, gold. Imagine how many people have the standard 60/40 breakdown in stocks and bonds. chit's gonna hurt sooner than later.

On another note, this is part of the trickle-down pill that right wing miscers don't want to swallow. That money that the corporations are supposed to reinvest in American workers and "raise their boats in the tide" or what the phuck ever is instead often reinvested with the express intent of automating away their jobs (see: Amazon).
Trickle-down only works in a closed system, or you know, one where one party can't phucking eliminate the other.
