Not much we can do about the middle class dying but the least we can do is protect ourselves by not holding too much cash in savings but holding strong company stocks and some gold and silver. Also no point in holding fixed income now, yields will remain low and you're basically gonna lose money every year since inflation will most likely be higher than your bond yield. Don't be left holding the bag. Buy stocks, real estate, gold. Imagine how many people have the standard 60/40 breakdown in stocks and bonds. chit's gonna hurt sooner than later.

My advice folks is to start learning a business that can't be automated and will always be needed, especially by rich people who will pay lots for your service. Plumbing, farming, construction, etc. I literally make 120+k/year walking dogs because there is a strong market for it in my area. That said I know the tech jobs that keep people here wealthy and unable to walk their own dogs will see all their jobs outsourced in the next decade so I am planning on a move to ranching/farming in 5 years. Rich people will always need good quality vegetables and meat and they are happy to overpay for it if they think the quality is superior. Learn to suckle the rich titty boyos.

Yeah this is probably nothing compared to what will happen with the automation push. Had brought this up when the pandemic first started to really spread -- there will be an even greater incentive to push towards automation and the introduction of machines in otherwise resistant industries because of the disease vector. And it makes sense, especially as our population density -- and risk of communicable disease transmission -- continues to increase. You could see the writing on the wall when places locked down, a highly-automated business wouldn't be impacted and would likely flourish instead.
This won't be the last pandemic we face. And if you want to build a business that will be capable of dealing with the associated risks, you need to automate and remove the human factor as much as possible.

This should be a top 5 national security issue. We simply cannot continue to allow non-citizens or non-green card holders the ability to purchase property in the USA. This also requires the removal of the EB-5 visa.

Most of the middle class likely can’t afford to invest in any significant way, especially when younger and still getting established. Middle class income in the US is like $80k household.
If you have money to throw around at investments, you’re likely already upper middle class at a minimum or otherwise advantaged (like making decent money while living with parents)

But if workers weren't really needed and were only competitive vs technology below a certain price, we'd see wages stagnate near that line with steady layoffs as the technology cheapens and lowers that bar further. Oh wait, that's exactly what we see.
And then we've got miscers here thinking "I've got my CPA, I'll be gainfully employed for life!", with their SVPs ready to automate them with machine learning ********** as soon as the technology becomes reliable and available. They think they're CEO 10k/day, but all they are is just white collar Chinese garbage men.
Anyway, itisa wealth transfer, but it's more of workers' former wages being transferred to the machine owners. Yes, govt is doing their part to pump the market with ZIRP and printing trillions of dollars at the public's expense, but the bedrock issue is that there's tens of millions of American workers who could die tomorrow and all be replaced by automation within a year tops.

Look at China for example. Over there, you'll see a crew of like 4 guys riding on the side of a garbage truck and dumping the bins in by hand, whereas in the West we use 1 guy and a hydraulic lift.
