i dont think ill last much longer

in June i was told that I had bilateral inguinal hernias and both the tech and the doc "saw them". in July i had surgery and after the surgery the Dr said there was no hernia. the scans could be misunderstood or some shot. Idk why they wouldn't tell me this prior to surgery.

anyway every day at some point the pain gets so bad that I can't stand it anymore. it leads me to drink way in excess to help cope.

i recently had bloodwork done and my blood work is ducked due to alcohol . just finished my first 750ml of vodka of the night

Damn I thought I had it bad, torn labrum in my left hip over the last 3 years. Unstable knee due to hyperextending it 3 years ago. Both have gotten soo bad now they are affecting my daily life. Looking into surgery. Sorry to hear you’re going through this. As you already know, alcohol is not that answer. Maybe some cortisone shots, although I just got one exactly a week ago in my hip and it has made 0 difference.

the fuking doctor is trying to get me to go to pain management. I told him that's for giving up. he was like the shots can make you pain free... right that's NOT the case. I'm seeing a medical malpractice lawyer soon. the fact that I took all of those risks and it turned out i didn't have hernias is pure bull****. I should have been told that there was a chance the scan was wrong.

Not sure what's going on in here, but IIRC you have money so at least that shouldn't be a restriction in finding answers.

No idea what medical tests and such you have done so far.

Seems like it could be time for a new doctor...internist maybe? Or someone that specializes in medical mysteries/difficult cases?

If you want to throw more money at it (may or may not be helpful) there is a provider in OK and TX that will scan you from head to toe.

Strange business model IMO; you can pay for a one off service, but they try to sell you something like a time share.

Or you can use UltraLabTests and find all kinds of testing packages that you can self-order if you suspect some particular issue.

Combining two OTC pain meds is supposed to be better for pain relief than almost anything, but (duh) you have to be careful on dosing to avoid liver injury and drinking should be right out if you try this.
