I can't remember the name but there was a math class that I took that was kind of like a step child of calc and algebra that fukked my whole world up. Ended up skipping a bunch of classes and late dropped it at the last minute. Had to take calc before that, which I understood the concepts ( at the time) but was piss poor at execution. Have nightmares about it still today.

3000 level microeconomics course, professor wrote the textbook and was so disrespectful/rude it seemed like a parody. Tests were 5 questions long...not even the super intelligent asian kids finished early. Everything was curved, sh*t was rough.

Real analysis

Made me switch from math to CS. Looking back the professor was an *******, but oh well, I probably make more as a programmer than I would doing whatever I'd be doing with a math degree.

The irony of all these classes y'all are listing is 90% of the **** you learn you won't ever use in a job. I don't even need to know what the class is about, it's just the common theme with "highly advanced level" classes that ironically the entry level ones are the most useful from a practical day to day standpoint. Maybe back before computers you used it more often, but these days anything from MD to software engineer just need some rudimentary knowledge of these concepts since machines do all the heavy lifting now.

Organic chem and analytical chem were the hardest for me. Also-where you take the class matters a lot. I sat in for orgo classes in a state college over the summer. I took quizzes etc to prepare me and did fine (no labs). Taking the same class in an accelerated weed-out program at a different school was a completely different experience. Exams were ridiculously harder.

I have a bachelors & masters in engineering, as well as an MBA. So I've taken a lot of fukking classes. And that means a lot of math, statistics, physics, etc classes....

By far the hardest class I ever took was a History of Vikings elective during my junior year. Freaking vikings, man! I thought this would be an interesting attention-keeping class that I'd enjoy as an easy distraction from my endless number-crunching.
Haha - nope. We had to read like 3 books a week and churn out dozens of long-form essays. The workload was unreal

My first quarter I Bombed my intro chemistry class. Just had no interest so it made it impossible for me to learn anything. A few years later I took an applied math class that was ridiculously hard. Had I taken the class after that I would’ve been able to get a BS instead of BA but I just couldn’t do it.

Physical Chemistry. I took it as an elective only to realize it was for engineers....i was a biochem major not an engineering major so a lot of what was talked about was with an engineers slant.

I barely scraped by with a B-. I could have dropped the class but nothing else fit my schedule and I wanted to graduate on time.

For me O-chem 2 didn't feel harder it just felt like a continuation of the previous course. The lecture was fine. What sucked were the lab write ups. They took so much time to do and came out to about 5 pages every damn meeting and my lab TA would dock points for petty chit like syntax errors like it was an English class.

I remember spending close to 2 hours trying to work out some calculations. I felt proud that I managed to get the correct answer and thought I'd finally get a 100% on a lab report, but no. I got docked 0.25 points for writing "should of" instead of "should have" In a random sentence in the conclusion section.

Western Literature as a summer course.

6 weeks, 6 boring books. You had to read each book thoroughly as the class was just a big discussion, no lecture. Professor kept each person involved and you couldn't BS your way through with spark notes. Grade was based on discussion and 2 tests.

The thing that made it hard was an expectation of coasting but it ended up being a damn full time job

Applied physiology for anesthesia taught by an MD was my hardest class.

Pharm for anesthesia was 2nd hardest.

Ochem2 was 3rd hardest.


They gave us 2 weeks to memorize 1500 DENSE slides of material for my anesthesia physiology class it was seriously sickening.

l sounds like trigonometry. That class was a bitch. Id say it was harder than calculus.

It got way easier after I was told to not memorize any specific reactions and instead recognize patterns. Did about 400-500 practice problems of arrow pushing with diff solutes/solvents after that.

know those feels "sorry you didnt reference ALL of the necessary pages in the lab manual at the end of your lab report minus 0.75 marks"
