I've come to the conclusions that I don't think it's possible to be psychologically and spiritually healthy, and promiscuous.

From a secular psychology perspective; Having frequent transient encounters erodes an ability to form long term bond, due to being conditioned psychologically for temporary relationships.

From a philosophical perspective; You train yourself to focus on a person's body, and ignore their soul (e.g. Knowing them in any meaningful way). In 'spiritual circles' there is something that is called 'soul ties', which is an esoteric energetic attachment to every you've slept with. Due to the exchange of esoteric energies with people you sleep with.


I think that there is deep wisdom behind why most spiritual traditions have advised sexual prudence, for men and women.
