How many miscers actually have a bug out plan?

If chit goes down, lawlessness in the streets, national guard, martial law, tanks patrolling, relocation camps, etc. this is obviously the most extreme scenario

But are you prepared to any degree?

To move off the grid and live off the land, find a source of water and hunt, etc

That’s actually something I’m seriously considering, just to brush up on necessary skills

I have a plan as well, glad to see others can see the potential writing on the wall

For those of us with firearms,

How proficient are you?

Can you quickly disassemble, reassemble, take care of jams, tap rack bang, how much ammo do you have, FMJ/hollows?

There are skills you should have nowadays JIC

Move out to my trapline cabin with 10,000 rounds of ammo. It's all setup, well insulated so not much annual firewood needed. Lots of animals to trap, and it's right on a whitetail winter migration route. On the water, so lots of fresh water and fish, and good solar batteries for lights. Fridge is propane, but might get a 12v fridge

My house is off-grid too, but the cabin would be the place to be

All my guns are for hunting, and recall exactly one jam. I would be fine with just my scoped cz 455 in .22 magnum. That and a thousand rounds and I would be very tough to go hungry around here. In the mag I much prefer 40 gn cci maxi mag game points. Great meat gun.

Yeah I own some acreage in the real backwoods down a few dirt roads that is surrounded by relatives. At least 30% of the town is related to me in some way and they're all legit, skin a buck, run a trotline, fix your truck with parts from their yard country folk.

My plan is to basically just go there at the first sign things might go south on us.

To some extent, yes. I have a group of buddies that are all ex military. We have all talked about what we'd do in a similar situation.

I'm not proficient with a gun at all. Have 1 gun. Might buy a gun with my 3rd quarter bonus check I get at the end of the month. What should I get?

I have a natural almost unknown natural spring by my house. I am growing my own food. Stocked up on rice, have tons of veggies growing, stocking up on meat this weekend.

If chit really hits the fan and I have the ability to travel, we are all going to my unlces in WV. Love when he visits and stays at our house. Ex military major prepper. The amount of guns and ammo he has is insane. The land he has is awesome and he is the craziest hunter, trapper, forager I know. He told me and my dad to come out to his place if chit really goes down.

Get good at engineering/salvaging and know how to make a DIY hydroelectric generator from common parts (cars, laundry machines, etc.), and you'll basically be a God since you live right by a river. Don't do it now though since it's illegal to mess with your water, obviously that won't matter if the government doesn't exist.

For what.

Last yr aside from nuisance beaver and squirrels I used one arrow and two centerfire rounds.

Plus a half dozen boxes of shells for duck, but that's just because it's fun.

Not a river but a local spring. You have to climb up a bit to even get there. Actually going up there tomorrow with a neighbor to get a bunch of water haha.

I've actually spent all my free time lately learning about two things. Gardening and building. All my uncles are engineers so I should learn from them. My one uncle that lives 2 min from me is exactly what you explained. He has a big shop and tinkers with everything. Made his own high powered go kart. Made his own electric bike. I should have him teach me and help him on his little projects.

Good idea srs.

Dig in crew.

I can bug out, but my house is a fortress, so staying in is almost always best.

I can get to my AR Or Mossberg or Ruger and get ready to shoot in 3-5 seconds flat from anywhere in the house (weapons are at various locations), can reload in the dark, got 1000 rounds of ammo, including green tips. I shoot regularly, 25 yard zero, got a light and laser with red dot on the AR.

Got water and food for a year. Carry an army knife on me and practice with it, pepper spray too, since communist New York doesn’t allow concealed carry.

MMA gym and an hour of training daily. Rolled BJJ just today,

24 hour alarm, motion sensors, hardened doors, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, hand cranked phone chargers, solar lanterns, portable stove, indoor heater that doesn’t use electricity, knowledge of the law as far as when I can shoot etc.

While I think nothing bad will ever happen, I see no reason not to be ready just in case some unfortunate BLM or ANTIFA soul comes over here with ungentlemanly intentions asking for reparations...

I got their reparations right here. na meen? I’m just sayin. Or it can just be in case of a hurricane.

Yeah, I have a handful of countries that I will move to. The US is a pretty boring place past a certain age, so it's only natural to find somewhere better.
