Love it bro but the misc wont even get your message coz the vids are too long and our attention span is at 0. Keep them at 60 seconds. They will watch 5 - 10 mins worth of 60 second videos but not 5 - 10 mins straight

If you come from small town Ontario and grew up playing hockey you probably sound similar to me

Dude I was a senior guy on my team so had to present in front of our department like 50 ppl

Thought I fuking nailed it - came out so confident and cocky

We all got feedback immediately after I front of everyone (lol) and my boss was like “do you know you have a tendency to say uhhhh a lot”

I honestly may do toast masters or something to figure this out - I can’t help it ... I think I’m disabled

Spent some time in Tampa and went to yibor city (spelling?)

Mrs Flex did Toastmasters when we first met. She was deathly afraid of public speaking (I never have been) and it was awesome for her.

For me, I think I try not to just read off the PowerPoint slides like most others do.

I just put up the Financial data and speak to it. I say "Um" too much and sometimes I forget to mention things I wanted to say, but I think it's more engaging to just address your audience and speak from your gut than to pre-prepare everything. If you're just regurgitating everything that is on the screen no one is listening to you and you're not engaging the audience.

I've gotten lots of compliments on my quarterly presentations even though I watch them and cringe. At least people listen to me.
