We just had gatherings scaled back but everything is staying open. They can't afford to shut businesses again.
Although now schools are back and already exploding with cases so who knows if they will stay open. My daughters class is down to 9 out of 17 kids in school.

second lockdown propaganda is intensifying. NYT has an article about US cases surging but behind a paywall if you've read too many.

It's all BS. Whatever it was, a month or so ago the CDC revised the COVID death rates and it was much lower than currently stated and you barely heard a peep. In my state, a judge ruled the shutdowns was Unconstitutional and our governor is being investigated for moving COVID patients into nursing homes. Again, crickets in the media.
Now the CDC just suggested that COVID will continue to spread thru droplets in the air and it's plastered everywhere. Such a joke.

We lucked out in the Northeast US because we unintentionally took the same policy as Sweden.
We are pretty much at saturation but we pretend it is because everyone is wearing masks.
Thank god we did such a "bad" job controlling the virus. All these places that locked down too early are ****ed.

Yeah the Covid Karens and Timmies are stressing out over the rising cases. Now the propaganda of fear is we will see 50k cases a day in mid October if the UK stays the course it is on. LMAO. The same horse chit they used for the first lockdown from the same merchants in UCL is being used once again.
And now they're using the "everyone must be in this together - no exceptions". Which means you cant say I dont believe in masks or whatever as you're a threat to others and the overall picture.
Its that case which the US had that set a prescedent. Whilst the state cannot force a vaccine on you, they can terrorise you with fines, prison and social revulsion if you refuse to comply and this also goes for pre-vaccine measures.
And many people will shop you to the authorities with glee.
I hope the country suffers and the people responsible are hunted down.

This worst travesty in my opinion was the stopping of cancer treatment in March/April, and the fact there is still a massive amount still yet to be treated. We went from "save the NHS" which was in the end not needed as no one was hardly excepted into those emergency hospitals like nightingale or whatever it was called, to prevent every infection and death that occurred when its guaranteed we cannot wipe out coronavirus now, its permanently here and a vaccine is realistically at least a year away.

Lockdowns were lifted almost everywhere in Europe and there were practically no measures the entire summer and because of this the number of new cases has been shooting up like a rocket, the curve is going vertical. This autumn/winter is gonna be crazier than what we've seen so far.

Jocko Podcast Number Three
“How do I deal with setbacks, failures, delays, defeats, or other disasters? I actually have a fairly simple way of dealing with these situations, summed up in one word:
“Good.”
This is something that one of my direct subordinates, one of the guys who worked for me, a guy who became one of my best friends pointed out.
He would pull me aside with some major problem or issue that was going on, and he’d say, “Boss, we’ve got this thing, this situation, and it’s going terribly wrong.”
I would look at him and say, “Good.”
And finally, one day, he was telling me about something that was going off the rails, and as soon as he finished explaining it to me, he said, “I already know what you’re going to say.”
And I asked, “What am I going to say?”
And he said, “You’re going to say: ‘Good.’ ”
He continued, “That’s what you always say. When Something is wrong or going bad, you just look at me and say, ‘Good.’ ”
And I said, “Well. I mean it. Because that is how I operate.”
So I explained to him that when things are going bad, there’s going to be some good that will come from it.
Oh, the mission got canceled? Good… We can focus on another one.
Didn’t get the new high-speed gear we wanted? Good… We can keep it simple.
Didn’t get promoted? Good… More time to get better.
Didn’t get funded? Good… We own more of the company.
Didn’t get the job you wanted? Good… Go out, gain more experience, and build a better resume.
Got injured? Good… Needed a break from training.
Got tapped out? Good… It’s better to tap out in training than tap out on the street.
Got beat? Good… We learned.
Unexpected problems? Good… We have to figure out a solutions
That’s it. When things are going bad: Don’t get all bummed out, don’t get started, don’t get frustrated. No. Just look at the issue and say: “Good.”
Now, I don’t mean to say something trite; I’m not trying to sound like Mr. Smiley Positive Guy.
That guy ignores the hard truth.
That guy thinks a positive attitude will solve problems.
It won’t. But neither will dwelling on the problem. No. Accept reality, but focus on the solution. Take that issue, take that setback, take that problem, and turn it into something good. Go forward. And, if you are part of a team, that attitude will spread throughout.
Finally: if you can say the word “good,” then guess what?
It means you’re still alive.
It means you’re still breathing.
And if you’re still breathing, that means you’ve still got some fight left in you.
So get up, dust off, reload, recalibrate, re-engage – and go out on the attack.”
