Anyone ever feel like their life has been wasted?

Anyone else ever get these feels? I dont mean with your family but just the things you always wanted to do. Goals.objectives..callings.

Whete you wake up and just ask your self where did the road turn in the wrong direction?

'Comparison is the thief of joy'

Don't compare your life to others...focus on where you've come from and where you want to go next.

All those things you wanted to do are still out there waiting for you.

Edit: that and hoping some day we get the chance to run into a random burning building and save a baby while on the way to work or something of that nature

It's never too late to hit the reset button, and I don't mean being 45 and taking on law school debt or something stupid. Being a present, good father is the opposite of a life wasted.

This is COPE LMAO. Op listen to this if you want to be average and just get by on life. Living through your kids, talk about pathetic.

Get up and do something with your life, that way you don't have to live through your son and doesn't grow up to be an average pleb.

And, yes. But what can you do?

I can look back from here and see that I did the best I could with the situation I had at the time; what I knew and didn't know, what I had and didn't have.

Some of it was my own bad choices (in hindsight), some of it was due to the actions of others. I wish that some things had been different even knowing that wishing for that or indulging in self-pity is a waste of time and energy.

What you're doing is what billions and billions have done since the dawn of time. Raising kids for the grind machine, Congratulations I guess, but it's low hanging fruit if you ask me.

Being a responsible and loving parent is apparently now failing as a human.

Strong reading comprehension.

I didn't say anything about being a parent, you nitwit. I said having children for the sole purpose of fulfillment and/or accomplishment

Yes im only 27 and I have done zero things I wanted to do. Also missed out on alot of girls because I thought I had to marry anyone that became my gf when I was young.
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Somewhat, but I've had some pretty diverse life experiences - more than a lot of people.

Accomplishment wise I certainly haven't killed it at life, but I am doing above average in several regards.

You're one to talk, OP - unless it's a trolling shtick - is a permanently/mostly plastered guy who just had a kid with his gf. Legz and Rabbit suggested being a responsible parent for a reason.

Nope. Def didn't turn out the way I planned - actually turned out better surprisingly especially since I've always thought I was just going to be bouncing from corp job to corp job.

Even when I was broke, just out of college and had to work my whack low paying entry level job and bartend on the weekends - I was still happy. Moved out. Got my own apt and slept on couch pillows from a couch I bought off craigslist for 3 months until I could afford to 'finance' a bed and started putting furniture in my place. Could have def been smarter with some things but in hindsight they were great learning lessons.

If I would have told my old self that I would have been working for myself in the future I probably wouldn't have believe it at all especially during the phase while I was doubting myself and struggling in the beginning. No ragrats OPIE. It's also never too late to change what you're unhappy with.

I want you to really think about our grandparents generation. Black and white tv, Andy Griffith Show, marry one woman, work one job, raise kids and own a house = winning.

Now think of today’s world. The ship has lost course and is sailing for the God damned rocks.

You need to acknowledge this because these forces are in the world telling you a thousand times an hour you’re not good enough. Buy this, sign up for this, do this, be this and maybe some day you’ll be good enough. I don’t know your religious views but Jesus was saying you are inherently worthy of love just by being you. You are worthy of love including your own love. You already feel God’s love, you feel the love of friends and family, but you are questioning whether you are worthy of love. All you have to be in this life is a good person man and even that is going to get fuked up sometimes.

If you think taking up a new art form like guitar or painting will help you, a new hobby like skiing or surfing, a new meetup group like yoga or rec soccer, a night school class that will help you get a better job, whatever it is, yeah do it man but do it out of love for yourself and others around you. Your thoughts are empowering or disempowering and believe it or not through controlling our thoughts even this can be a choice. God gave us the powers of love, free will, forgiveness, understanding and compassion. We have to use those super powers as we go through life and too often we don’t use them on ourselves when we should.

Obviously, but seeing how many fuked up people are running around I think it's safe to assume that many parents failed at the parenting part.
